This whole 'balanced viewpoint' thing they're doing annoys the hell out of me. TV3 did the same thing with a story about the NZB vaccinations a few years back, 'letting both sides of the story' tell their opinions on TV. As a result there were otherwise well-educated, sensible people at our school not giving their kids the third round of vaccination. Newsflash, TV reporters; balance can only be achieved if both viewpoints have some kind of proof (proof, you know, actual facts) to back them up. Otherwise it's idiot vs. reality.

What are the odds the TV news will flog Ken Ring out of town tonight? I bet they'll be all quiet.

I can rustle up some feathers if someone else has a tin of tar handy.
