It's pretty much up for open interpretation. ♥ When I wrote it, I didn't intend for there to be a stiff, solid ending. If it helps, thoughts of the trickster were actually far from my mind when I wrote it. But I did leave it open-ended for a reason.

Oooo, I think I get that ending...no Trickster, right? Just the Time's Up talking more about the peace...now Sam's back to counting down the days instead of just basking in Dean.

Even if I'm wrong, still a wonderful story. You could really see Sam's desperation.
