This is still so, so fun. I (still) love Holmes and Watson's conversation, and how obviously Holmes is infatuated with him. Really, I think he's less subtle about it than a flashing neon-sign saying "MARRY ME, WATSON?" would be.

Holmes is nothing if not unsubtle. Watson is simply both blind and deaf. But. BUT. Not for long. The times, as they say, they are a-changin'

Though I like the idea of Holmes inventing the neon sign for that express purpose.

Poor Watson, so handicapped. :( Disclaimer: I have three physical handicaps myself, and am therefore allowed to make stupid and snarky jokes about handicapped people. End disclaimer.
Hurrah! \o/

Why not? Neon is an element, after all, and Holmes is a chemist. I suppose he would choose the colour green rather than pink, though, considering that the carnations were the gay symbol of that time.

Indeed, poor Watson. But then he gets Holmes in the end so I can only feel so sorry for him.

I suspect it's the thin glass he'd have trouble manufacturing. And the circuit boards, but that's merely a detail.

I am falling in love with this fic so much. Everything is just so perfect and that last scene between Irene and Mary? It had me grinning- those two sure are enjoying themselves. x3

I'm glad to hear it :D

They are indeed enjoying themselves - who needs boys when you're a couple of kick-arse ladies?

“The occupation of faithful friend and companion, invaluable assistant, personal physician and flattering biographer of Sherlock Holmes, consulting detective. No other could possibly hope to replace you.”

YESSSS! So well said, Holmes :D

Loved it!

Watson is indeed invaluable, and Holmes can see this *wise nod*

Glad you liked it!

I just started to read "The Boscombe Valley Mystery" and I think I have a new favourite quote: " 'It is really good of you to come, Watson,' said he. 'It makes a considerable difference to me, having someone with me whom I can thoroughly rely..." YES! Your sentences just fit to that so well! Or later on, they tell each other how good they do know each other!!! And Holmes gives the example of Watson shaving every morning...hhhmmmm I know he knows that through exactly watching Watson's face. I already love THAT thought. But he could also know it because he slept with him and saw it ;)
Sorry if I don't make much sense today.
