Hah, my sewing pals laugh at my Fiskars, but I have those same ones & cutting is a breeze w/no pain. Plus, I've only needed 2 pairs in about 10 years of home use (& I think the first pair broke faster bec. I dropped them a few times).

I get a lot of RSI pain from sewing/craft projects + computer use, thus any tool that *doesn't* hurt is a boon, even if it's not as fancy-dancy in other ways.

I LOVE my fiskars!! Once a pair gets old from cutting fabric, I retire them to use as my craft/glue/paint scissors and get a new pair for nice fabric cutting. It is a great circle of life and I never feel bad about getting my older pair messy if necessary.
