what's icewool? I went and googled it and found a picture but am still not clear on its purpose? enlighten me please :)

You add a layer of it between a buckram base and the "fashion fabric" on hats, to act as a baffle so the fabric sits on something with some loft to it instead of just hanging out against the buckram. It's particularly useful with thin fabrics so you don't see a bunch of fugly wires and buckram-weave on the hat surface. A lot of folks use baby flannel this way too, but icewool is like, a level of poofiness between flannel and quilt batt.
