Great to see these. Curious about the stability and life expectancy of the foam--I know it gets old, dried out, and crumbly. How much of an issue is that?

The polyurethane foam ("couch foam") that the mini donkeys are made from was only one of the materials we discussed and worked with. The woman leading the symposium, Holly Cole, talked a lot about choosing materials based on factors of budget and the longevity needs of the puppet or mask ( ... )

My donkey WAS modeled after the Hee Haw one! I had these grand plans to make him a little foam hat, too, but there wasn't time during the workshop. I still may do, though! :D
