I was impressed enough by the post and by the comment community that I started reading around a bit, and from what I can tell it's almost entirely of that caliber.
Fair warning: if you decide to check out more of Hoyt's posts on society/the economy/whatnot, they tend to come from a conservative (or at least classically liberal) position--but her posts, and the responses, exhibit a level of civility scarcely seen on the internet, especially when they delve into these sorts of topics.
