I remember shortly after 9/11, when Muslim students started getting jumped around my campus as a sick form of retaliation. Our campus newspaper didn't even bother to write about it. Although that doesn't excuse what Taheri-azar did, I can kinda see how frustration would drive him to do something as crazy as that.
