Finally....

WASHINGTON - President George W. Bush faced stark and difficult choices yesterday after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that special military tribunals created to try terrorism suspects imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay were illegal under both U.S. law and the Geneva Conventions.

I think Bush wants to keep the prisoners there though, even though they have to stop all the secret trials etc.

Yeah, the prison will likely stay open (for now), but the Bush administration is now forced to face the fact that branding prisoners as 'terrorists' does not exempt them from basic human and legal rights (i.e. due process, fair trials) guaranteed under international law.
