I think M/L could be very interesting. The big impediment seems to be that Lee is fairly low down on Markus's list of social attachments. (I also suspect that Markus gives Lee a lot of blame for Meaghan's death. True, Kurdy and Meaghan herself were just as complicit, and he doesn't seem to resent them, but I have a feeling that Lee has been the lucky recipient of his displaced anger toward Meaghan and Kurdy.) So to get Markus to seriously look at Lee, you'd need to somehow overcome or bypass Markus's more primary emotional attachments to (minimally) Meaghan, Erin, Jeremiah, and Kurdy. It could be done, though, if they were cave ficced.

Where do you see the hatred of non-whites in this fandom? Kurdy seems very popular?

I love how desperate Lee is to have Markus touch him on the shoulder, or look at him, or put him in charge of PROTECTING HIM FOREVER, but instead of that Markus mostly just wanders off.

Yes! Sorry for my late reply. I've been on vacation. I am now convinced that the world needs more M/L fic.
