Shingen/Kousaka (historical, as I haven't seen Mirage of Blaze) is an awesome one to have. I kind of ship Shingen with Uesugi Kenshin in a noble foes sort of way, like Richard the Lionheart with Saladin.

Tenma/Watari is also a very cool crossovertastic one.

Well, I have to rec Mirage of Blaze, just because it is the greatest love story ever told:) (not for Shingen and Kousaka though). I have the rudiments of a plan for a story where, oddly, I end up shipping Kenshin and Kousaka... but with Shingen sort of in the center of things.

I had much fun writing Tenma/Watari, though I don't seem to be able to get them to go further than kissing. They're squirrely that way... well, Tenma is...

Oh wow! It was you who wrote that lovely thing! Johan and Light destroying each other in cat-and-mouse antics! And Nina! You wrote Nina so well, realistically aged to her thirties, weary and stressed out.

I think the bit I liked most was the sexy creepy scene where Johan was getting Nina to tell him about what it was like for her to shag Tenma. I’m sure he liked it more than when she used to tell him about the Red Rose Mansion storybooks. ;) I loved all the interaction between Nina and Johan really. It was so almost incestuous, or maybe... so incestuous that it almost went beyond that.

Actually, the bit I liked best was that it was a story, driven by plot which is sort of inexplicably rare in fanfiction. Most fanfic seems to be about characters flirting or kissing or having nice sexytimes together, and I loved it that there was kissing, and Nina and Tenma (and Johan, by proxy) got it on with each other, but it was secondary to the lovely plot.

I'm glowing. Thank you! My shameless fic-self-plug worked:-) I personally think that fic is the best I've ever written. I'm normally awful at plot and normally don't care much in fic, but it's really hard to write Death Note well without plot because it's characters are so driven by solving situations, so knuckled down and did my best. I've recently been attempting an L & Nina one-shot sequel thing, but it's not cooperating and is, thus far, devoid of all goodness.
