Yes, he's very accomplished at accents. I just wish he would have been able to keep his British accent for the series, but I suppose it wouldn't have been a good match to the rest of the premise.

I also think Rufus Sewell should have been able to keep his accent for his "Eleventh Hour" series that ended after only one season. It might have made a difference. That and having him be a broken-hearted widower. Multiple lost opportunities there for his character to be single and magnetic. Oh, well...

Well, if you're going to give "Awake" a try, tonight would be a good starting point, with JI running around naked and all.

I've watched all the episodes. If I were going to point up anything I would change, I would add just a dash of lighter material to what has heretofore been a rather weighty drama. If someone else has come to the same conclusion I have about needing a bit of lighter interaction between characters, tonight's 'streaking' Isaacs could be a move in that direction.

Oodles of fantastic close-up shots of Jason (causing drool residue on my remote) are well worth my viewing time. I think I've seen more of JI's face on this show than all the other films he's ever been in, combined. More even than Jackson Brodie. He is definitely the star of "Awake".

Grrrr. 'Not Available in My Location'.

At this rate I'll have seen the next series of Case Histories before I get a glimpse of 'Awake'.

Mind you. it does sound as though it suffers from the same lack of sense of humour as 'Brotherhood', so probably not a contender for the UK market at all.

People keep saying it suffers from a lack of humor, as did Brotherhood, but I don't see it. I didn't think either of them lacked humor. I find the humor to be subtle and maybe a little black. But there are some great one-liners and looks that crack me up. So I don't find it too heavy. Granted, it doesn't have as much humor as NCIS, but then Tony is really the cut-up and is meant to be a giant doofus.

I do think the series has been very serious so far, not that one could do much at the beginning with such a serious problem to explain and setting the stage as it were, for the advancing of the double-edged plot. So I am very happy that this last episode gave us a bit of levity at the end at the pool. And it was clever to hook us into the episode at the beginning with the supposedly nude Isaacs/Britten, making us wonder why such a beleaguered, solemn cop would be up on that diving board bare-arsed. Good for the writers!

Jason really *does* love us! He does! He does!

I can hear that meeting now: "Well, let's throw a bone to my fangirls. They're been really supportive about the this show, and, well, they should get a little something-something, I think." (Or at least that is what I think to think went down rather than, "What?!! Are you guys Fing insane?!")

Okay, I'd like to thank whoever wrote that scene. Send some flowers, maybe some chocolates. ;D

He's just so f*cking handsome.

Oh my! I couldn't agree more. A television hour of Isaacs eye candy. If the ratings go up, who knows what he might wear (or not) next? We will likely never get the earthy behavior of Jackson Brodie (damn our American Puritan history), but it IS on at ten PM. Latitude is possible to some extent.

Uk residents, you can download a thing called a hotspot shield (free and legal) then you can watch it on NBC website. Have seen them all so far, its really worth it!
