Either Wilfred Owen or Sigfried Sassoon, but Rudyards always to the point.

Yeah, he is, isn't he.

I always striggle with Kipling because I have difficulty viewing his work in abstraction from his sentiments*, because so often they colour it. :-/ Which tends to mar my appreciation; on the other hand, he was so very talented.

*in particular extreme mysoginism and racism
