In a random burst of creativity (or, actually, not, since they consist of quotes only) this afternoon, I made 12 icons from Archy's Life of Mehitabel by Don Marquis. This the sequel to Archy and Mehitabel, and they are books about the adventures of one Archy, a free verse poet whose soul was transmigrated into the body of a cockroach as punishment

:D They really are brilliant. And usually quite easy to find, I just picked up archys life... for $6 in a second-hand bookshop...

oh god, i love poems with cockroaches. it's a neat little micro(/nano?)genre.

taking #11 and #5 as i can't choose just yet.

*grin* I hadn't realised the microgenre (I prefer micro, don't you?) existed. I feel now like I ought to go look up some more. :P

I like the first one! took it. :P Just because it's French, and it has gai in it! (though I'm sure he was talking about "happy", right?)

Well, I guess he probably was meaning happy (actually Mehitabel says it. She's the cat. :P) but... you know... it can be taken all sorts of ways, right? ;)

I really do recommend them. You get to read about cockroaches getting drunk and plotting to take over the world. :P
