Here are some photos from April's birthday, which was a couple of weeks ago. Mom and I made her a fruit and sugar-free chocolate bouquet, because she's diabetic and we felt guilty making her a cake. April's favorite animal is a swan, and it just so happened that when we went to Wegman's to buy fruit, somebody was showing a woman how to cut a swan

Wow. How do you get the pieces of apple to stick to each other in that configuration? Toothpicks?

I used a toothpick to attach the neck to the body, but the wings and tail stuck together nicely without any added support.
