The thing about R/T that really stabbed me was Remus's reaction to being married; he's always been about needing approval/to be liked, and could well have married her for just that reason.

I agree - it was a very good story. There were lots of little bits that rankled and lots of wonderful surprises. You are absolutely right about the fic potential - there are still enough unanswered questions for many, many stories!
