that's insane. but, did you say once before that your weather is usually more extreme, so from snow to, like, heat wave with not much in between?

Yeah, we don't get much of the in-between seasons. It doesn't get crazy hot, though (thank god) except for about 2 weeks a year. There's 2 weeks of "OMG this is arctic/siberian cold!" and 2 weeks of "when did this become Death Valley?" heat.
