I know this is so backwards, but my biggest distraction when working on the computer is research. If I want to use a mythological Hebrew monster for example, I can get lost for hours reading, comparing, wondering if Persian or Sumerian beasts would work better, etc. Very little writing gets done. When I transfer from my notebook to the computer, I still have to look up details, but I'm less inclined to mentally wander because inputting loans itself to more focused work. I do pause to check references and sometimes to make sure I used a particular work the right way, but I'm pretty good about hacking away
