After having been locked into his place of solace, and unable to even Apparate anywhere Severus couldn't get outside fast enough after the restraints had been lifted. Curiosity over the city's inhabitants and their continued displeasure took a (close) backseat to him testing out his magic. If anything happened and he wasn't locked away in his room like a helpless child he wanted to make sure ahead of time he could protect himself, and those closest to him.
Though it was hardly necessary he had taken to Apparating at random while he wandered. With a pop he appeared on a street corner he remembered having passed by in the early days of his time in the city. Before he had a "home" again in Spinner's End.
There wasn't much to the surrounding area, so the neon glow of a sign caught his attention, made brighter every moment by the fading daylight.
Quorra looked up at the sound of crackling in the air. She stood up from her leaning position, hand hovering over the baton as she edged around the building. She always carried it with her now, since the fights with her and Rinzler continued to escalate. Maybe she was a bit paranoid, but Quorra couldn't help herself.
Her hand lowered as she recognized Snape. "Professor!"
"The Arcade is here." She smiled and nodded to the building beside them. It was her and Sam's Place of Solace. His question made her glance down. "I've been okay. Are you alright, Professor?"
There's an odd forebreeze that shadows the coming of someone using flash step. A slight whistle of wind as Rukia blurs out of shunpo right beside Quorra, landing with nothing but a tap of her feet on the sidewalk. Smoothing down her wind-blown hair, Rukia grins at the ISO. She's relieved to see her in one piece and unharmed.
"Quorra-san, good to see that you made it through our imprisonment relatively unharmed."
"No, just stuck at the Clinic for the day. Used it to get ahead on my chores. Im making rounds to check on everyone. Everyone else you know alright as well?" As usual, when she relaxes, one hand rests on the pommel of the sword and the other on her hip. But her eyes shift up and down the street quickly before nodding back at her. "Have you heard anything specific about the riots?"
She'd really only come here to get out of the house, though she'd taken refuge in her Place of Solace for whatever madness had been going on outside. Armed with her mask since it wasn't quite dark yet, she'd gone exploring. And then she'd found this place - the place she'd heard about but only seen in video and other people's minds.
And now that she approached the building, which seemed strangely modern for this place compared to what she'd seen, she was surprised to notice that there was someone there. Someone who felt slightly familiar.
"W-Who are you?!"
Yes, she's being nosy. And kind of weird, because this isn't her place at all! She's just kind of bad tempered by nature, you get used to it.
Quorra adjusted her own mask. Soon she could take it off and not have to worry about hiding her face in public. While she didn't mind the teneka, the fact that she had to cover her face constantly bothered her. Helmets on the Grid were usually used when they were on the lightcycles... constantly wearing one? Egh.
Her head turned to look at the young woman that walked up to her. She blinked a few times then smiled. "I'm Quorra."
Taiga was still getting used to the idea of teneka, though she could do it when she really tried. The mask thing was also hard for her to deal with - she usually forgot to wear one and never really left the house anyway. Most of her days were spent stalking the network or in front of her mirror; when she wasn't at her place of solace. Probably not healthy.
"Quorra," Taiga repeated after a moment, looking up at the woman. Another westerner? Definitely tall enough to be one. And this woman looked and sounded familiar.
"! You know .. that weird guy. The weird one on the network!"
Oh! Quorra smiles a bit when she recalls the girl. Well, not the girl exactly, but the conversation. Who else really calls Rinzler "weird" besides maybe Ichigo?
"Babe," he asked as he stepped outside of the arcade to check on her. Sam didn't trust this place and he wanted to always keep an eye on her in case anything started happening again.
The rioting had Kojuro somewhat concerned. It wasn't the violence, it was the walls. The outsiders had been completely blocked off, as if the land wished to keep the rioting away from the locals; the information sealed.
So now that the walls were down, Kojuro took himself to survey the damage. It wasn't Oushuu and his concern was to find potential weaknesses in the land. Instead he found someone holding up the wall, looking at the sky. He looked up as well. "The skies are a bit different here, aren't they?" It just didn't look like home.
She glanced over at the man and smiled a bit. "There's no sun on the Grid. Is this how the sky looks in the User World?"
Quorra had seen plenty of sunsets and sunrises in Promenade, but not in the world Sam and Flynn came from. She had no idea how similar they were. She had seen one sunrise with Sam in their real world... but that wasn't quite a sunset.
He paused for a moment, staring stupidly. Kojuro wasn't entirely sure she was speaking a translatable language. User World? Grid? It had to be some other world's lingo, or at the least foreign.
"I'm not sure about a 'User World', but in Japan, there is a sun," Kojuro replied. It was called the Land of the Rising Sun for a reason. "The sky is similar to home but at the same time, it's not the sky I'm used to seeing."

"Good evening Quorra. I was not expecting to see a familiar face here. Though it is quite welcome." He even smiled ... slightly. "How have you been?"
