La Resistance - Team Wind and the Forbidden Paths

Where: A designated meeting place, then the Paths themselves. 
When: Mid-to-late afternoon and evening of Nov. 18th.

MEETING AREA

[Just a small patch of woods. The entrance to the Paths is less than two hundred yards away; a guard occasionally patrols by on the street, but the hiding spot is well-concealed by trees and brush.]

[Elijah is already there, though it might be hard to tell; he's already applied one of his stealth wards to himself, and while he hasn't rendered himself entirely invisible, he has made his presence significantly more difficult to ignore. He keeps an eye out for any others from the team who approach before speaking out, keeping his voice low.]

We stickin' to the plan?

[ Quorra arrives a little late. She's been keeping to herself since her latest battle with Rinzler. Unlike the days she spent thinking she was younger, Quorra has returned to wearing user outfits. Still, she has her disk and baton in hand. ]

[Rukia looks up, greeting Quorra with a smile and a wave before looking to Elijah.]

Yes, within a thirty minute window, something will pull the guards away. In that time, we will slip into the Paths and move as quickly as possible to get out of sight before the guards return. From there...we just keep exploring until we find something or twelve hours expire.

[The distraction went off without a hitch, the guards peel away to deal with whatever disturbance cooked up by Team Fire and everyone sprints into the shadowy woods while their backs are turned. Soon, the guards and the rest of the City are far out of sight.

[ It certainly isn't what Quorra expected to find. Then again, she isn't sure what she expected to find at all. The Forbidden Paths have been something spoken in whispers and in the shadows, and given there was nothing like this on the Grid? Everything is surprising and almost disappointing at the same time. Still, she's excited and terrified to be there. At least they're trying to find answers.

She steps over some rubble and looks around. With a deep breath, she looks at the others. It's like a ghost town. ]

What happened here?

[The place does seem to be a ghost town, perhaps even replete with its own ghosts...that is, if that sudden flicker of movement amongst the rubble is any indication. There is a dark figure some distance ahead, dark for the cloak that billows about it as it makes its way further down the paths.

The cloak and the figure's distance from the group makes it impossible to tell just who -- or what -- it is up ahead, but it does seem to be in a hurry to get somewhere.]

[Rukia has her hand on the pommel of her sword, her expression drawn tight as the group comes upon the silent, still ruins. Everything around here was crumbled and decayed, a stark contrast to the idyllic state of the city outside. The air tasted of settled dust and ashes.

The flash of movement draws her eyes and Rukia gives chase, Elijah's talisman and its magic mixing with her own flash step making her a blur that devours the distance between them, her hand snapping out to grab the cloak's hem. If this was a guard that had found them...]
