Alex hadn't been able to sit still, lately. Sitting meant thinking, and thinking meant dealing with the horror of everything he'd seen in the past week. He had never thought it could get worse than the two years he spent in jail from killing his sister, than the incident on the beach with Charles.

But this past week? Had been Hell, for him. Knowing that yet again he failed those that he had cared for the most...Alex didn't know what to do with himself.

Planning on going to the library to grab 'Catcher in Rye' (his favorite book), he pushed open the door, wincing a bit as he put too much pressure on his bad leg. Alex knew he should get someone to look at the wounds on his leg, but they'd heal. Whatever.

Blinking when he saw Teddy, he let out a breath, and headed for the shelf he knew contained the book, hoping to avoid talking in general. Teddy looked busy; he didn't want to disturb him.

It's okay. Teddy will help cheer him up.

Just as he was getting to the part about meeting Eli and Billy for the first time, Teddy heard the door open. Looking over his shoulder, Teddy smiled when he saw Alex. Setting the pen and pad aside, the alien waved.

"Hey, Alex!"

aww good. sorry he's being difficult.

"Hey."

Alex shrugged, giving a small wave back, before going on to grab the book, hoping that Teddy will drop it.

No such luck. Teddy got up and walked over, happy to see his friend. Leaning against a bookcase, he just kept smiling.

"How's it going?"
