Had she done too little? Would she have been able to save more people? Did any of this begin to absolve her of what she had done?
Questions that she could usually swallow or bury began to ring through out her mind.
So the first place she traveled most days was the beach. She'd lay out in the sand for a few hours and soak up the dying rays of the summer sun, just listening to the surf wash in and out. She usually wouldn't venture too far from her own place of Solace, but today was an exception.
She spots Akito and the RV and makes her way over.
"Good to see you made it out okay."
Lord knows she had worried about everyone.

"Alive, at least."
His voice is softer, lower; rusty from disuse. It sounds odd to him. "I don't think anyone is really ... okay."

Her own guards are up, she can tell in the way she talks and holds herself. Not as casual, as if-- as if she had gone back to being a queen. That was the only way she could describe it. The automatic guard, smile pretty, bow pretty, don't let anyone catch on to your distress. That seemed to be her job back in Clarite.

The reply is automatic, and something he's told himself many, many times since he was small. He withhold the urge to scratch at his face. The wound is scabbing over and itching beneath the bandages. A good sign, but also annoying.
He hopes that people don't whine or complain about what happened. It's over. It's easiest to forget about it and move on. Or at least move past it while remembering.
He realizes, quite suddenly, that he hates it here. Really hates it. More than his cage. Because at least with his cage he was given bits of freedom, and it was only him locked away. Here, everyone is trapped with no semblance of freedom whatsoever.
"People will probably keep crying about it for a long time."
It's said to himself, mostly. A thought he deemed worth telling the air, at the very least.
He picks at a small scab on his arm, scratching it until it bleeds again. It's a good distraction from his headache.

Having finally returned, he explores the city carefully, looking for signs of danger, but there are none. While skateboarding by the beach, he spies the familiar sight of Akito's RV and heads toward it. He increases his pace, eager to see his friend again. Stepping off his skateboard, he picks it up so he can walk over the sand.
All four of his Pokémon are with him, Zoroark loping at his side. "Akito." N smiles when he sees him.

He picks up on the fact that he isn't alone on the beach anymore, though it isn't until N speaks that it clicks with him just what that meant. He would have jumped in surprise had it not been for his head (he still feels sluggish. maybe he's not supposed to be here. maybe Agito-) and so instead turns himself so that he's facing his friend. They all look fine, which is both expected and a relief.
It takes him a moment to realize that the mental greeting he's sent isn't heard, and he pauses before speaking out loud.
"N," he says. His voice is softer than before; a bit lower and crackly from disuse. He quirks his lips upwards to make up for how awkward his voice sounds. "Hi."

He'd grown used to not speaking a great deal when staying with Anna, so he doesn't pick up on any awkwardness. He simply sits beside Akito and gazes at the sea, which has grown calm again. He hadn't seen Akito fall. He doesn't notice anything wrong without the thoughts transmitted by the TENEKA to help him pick up on human emotion. "It's so quiet now. All the voices have gone." The sounds of animals and monsters crying out in pain no longer troubles him. It's a relief. "It is good to see you."

Akito lets out an absent hum in reply. To him, the voices are never really gone. "It's good that you didn't die."

He spots the boy, stumbling and makes his way over while the Emogla atop his head chirps curiously at everything. After finding his PC in his room, Touya didn't see no reason not to switch out some of his team to allow them the ability to explore. Though the electric type was tugging at his tag, pointing towards the beach in which they were heading towards while Touya kept his attention more or less on the boy he soon stopped next ( ... )

"Touya-san, hi."

"How are you feeling? Sorry about Minipete, he's new to the city and is a bit overly excited."

"We're just tired," Akito answers. It's mostly a lie, but not entirely. Everything might just stem from being exhausted. He waves to the Emolga, offering a small smile. "It's nice to meet you, Minipete."

which cuts out about 70% of his time in the first place. and then he was banned from handling sharp objects, so scissors were a no and he couldn't exactly finish his scrapbook without using his scissors so that went another 20% of his time. in the end, the only safe activity for Sora to do would be to wander around with pictures and even then, he needed to have his Wayfinder on him at all times so his link to his friends was present.
man, it was like having parents all over again. getting to the beach, though, that felt a lot better, and Sora found himself much more relaxed when he stood in the ocean breeze. already excited, he bounced a little forwards and slipped out of his shoes, into the surf. much better when it wasn't blood-colored or, well, blood itself.
he perked up as he heard movement, however, glancing over towards Akito. ]
Who's over there?
[ it takes walking a little across the coming surf for him to recognize the other, and he raises a hand and waves. ]
Heyy, Akito!
