He's-again.

Rinzler sees it coming this time, and the panic's less overwhelming. He still twitches unhappily as he's grabbed, silent rumble uneven and discomforted. He doesn't like this-the contact, the uselessness. If he'd known what the hollow was thinking, Rinzler would be in utter agreement. Ichigo shouldn't be doing this.

But he's not able to argue. The program stares sideways, gives an ineffectual tug to get loose, and (mostly) resigns himself to being helped. He hesitates, an edge of quiet unease (fear) twisting through his processing-then shuts down most of his nonessentials.

Combat function and external awareness drop, hastening the reset and leaving power for basic motion and diagnostics. He hates it-feels blind and defenseless while held (trapped), at a time more than any other he needs to move, fight. But he'd be equally useless in battle while barely able to stand. And worse than that if they decide to hurt him. The best he can do at the moment is work to restore function-and be as little burden as possible while ( ... )

Holy shit Rinzler actually spoke.

That, more than anything, gets Ichigo's attention, though he does visibly wince at the broken, half-scrambled 'thoughts' leaking through the TENEKA along with that single word. There's frustration in there, too. Ichigo gets that, he does. The last thing in the world he could take was feeling helpless when other people needed him.
But this isn't pride. In all those broken impressions, it was very much like hearing two side of the same person arguing with itself. A concept that Ichigo, and Shiro could both understand a little too well.

Looking once between Shiro, and Rinzler, Ichigo scowled hard at the hollow first.

"When one of us steps over the lines on this circle, then it breaks. Shuts down. So if you want to go? Fine. Go. But that still means that we'll have to all go at the same time, or else be right back to becoming dinner for a whole bunch of angry spiders. And turning to look at Rinzler, that scowl deepens as Ichigo tightens his grip on his sword. He was about ready to punch the program ( ... )

That was an interesting compendium of crap flooding out of Rinzler's head. He narrows his eyes and frowns. Geez. This guy was both a liability AND totally fucking nuts.

... Of course, someone might have thought the same thing if Ichigo and Shiro were in the same body. They argued worse than siblings. It was just that their "internal" dialogues were mostly external, now.

Upon hearing how the circles actually work, Shiro throws his hands in the air, "What the fuck! What good are these stupid things then?! We can't leave without BREAKING them?" The fuck. Harry's magic was so friggin' retarded...

Shiro just rolls his eyes.

"This plan is retarded, and so are you. But I don't have a better one, so I guess let's do it."

But at the first opportunity? Shiro was leaving Rinzler. And taking Ichigo with him, whether his other wanted it or not. Shiro dispels his sword to rid himself of the extra weight and stands ready, collecting reishi under his feet.

The program stares at Ichigo, blue-white glow still bright with silent fury. It wasn't about accepting help (mostly). Even being weak. It was about being a weakness. About the user's idiotic insistence on endangering others-these two and more, if they meant the purpose they'd claimed-because he wasn't quick enough. Or they thought he wasn't quick enough. The user wouldn't even let him choose for himself.

(He's tired of not choosing.)

Hands tense on disks, the helmet jerks sideways with frustration-and then lowers. Rinzler draws in slightly, posture resuming its traditional hunch as his circuits dim, red-orange seeping back through. Fine. It's not like objecting makes a difference. (Never makes a difference).

But at the first opportunity? Rinzler was leaving them.

The program lowers to a crouch, disks melding in one hand. The helmet dips as he readies, brief checks running on energy levels, stability. A quick burst should be easy enough. He can do this.

"Look, if you've got a better idea, that DOESN'T involve sacrificing one of the three of us, then let's hear it. Otherwise? This is all I've got."

And you can both be pissed off about it all you want, but Ichigo was stubborn. He wasn't going to leave anyone behind. But, if Rinzler took off on his own, then that was his choice.
Sighing, Ichigo crouched down a little further, and glanced once at Rinzler.

"Remember, off the sword. I'm not sure how high it'll actually get you, so be ready."

The pressure of reishi gathering around Shiro, and Ichigo's legs, the changes in air pressure kicking up small swirls of dust.
Alright. Pivot on the left foot, gather force as you turn in a 360 degree circle; there's the wind up.

And with a short, wordless yell, Ichigo flicked his sword so that the flat of the blade was striking forward - for someone as agile as Rinzler, that should be plenty to push off from - AND THE PITCH!

"GO!"

Shiro knew Rinzler was annoyed. That subtle change in posture, his "emotions"... he didn't like Ichigo telling him what to do. But Ichigo was just that way. He liked to take charge and do things his way, everyone else be damned. It was truly infuriating!

The Hollow stays out of the way, giving Ichigo and Rinzler plenty of time to pull off this... whatever it was. Ichigo was going to throw Rinzler with his sword? Tensa Zangetsu was probably screaming into his cloak at being used in such a way.

When Ichigo calls out "Go", Shiro leaps, letting the collected, pressurized Reishi under his feet explode and push him up with a sound like static. His energy levels are still low, so he doesn't spring as high as he'd like. But he was prepared for that. Instead of making up to the rooftop in one go, he rebounds off the building across the alley, doing a quick zig-zag move before landing on all fours on the rooftop of the other building. And up there? It was clear. No spiders, no locusts, nothing.

He'd had a better idea: separating. The user had physically stopped implementation. Twice.

The helmet tilts toward the sword in curious assessment. The blade was certainly wide enough, and provided the user could control the motion... it should work. Rinzler gives a short nod, braces for the motion... then steps on-launches off the weapon as the user swings it upwards.

Motion. Air. There's a faint sensation-almost a buzzing at the edge of his code as he passes beyond the circle's perimeter. He tucks, curls in as he flies upwards, turning to face the building. The toss had speed, closer to an upward fall than most leaps he's made-but Rinzler knows how to fall, too. His disk arm lashes out as the corner of roof and wall draws near, digging into the edge with a quick jarring that hurts more than it should. He's still not stable, not as steady as he should be-but that's not what he needs for this ( ... )

Ichigo wasn't far behind either of them, but that half-second it took to finish the motion of swinging his blade slows him down just enough. Like Shiro, he doesn't have it in him to make a vertical jump of that height, so instead follows Shiro's example by rebounding between one building, and the next, with the last jump off a friendly air conditioning unit.

As Ichigo clears the roof, he stumbles just once, but catches his footing again easily.

"Alright, let's move, they'll notice we're gone soon".

With a pause, Ichigo looks at Rinzler, frowning as if he means to 'say' something...but thinks better of it. Neither Shiro, nor the program seemed all that wild about his idea, or even staying together. With a quick glance at Shiro, Ichigo looked back at Rinzler, and used Tensa Zangetsu to point at the program.

"You stay alive. Hear me? Stay alive, because you and I are still going to have that TALK later."

But they had to get to the beach, and they had to start moving. Soon.

Shiro lets out a low whistle over the Teneka. He'd never actually seen Rinzler in action and that was... mighty impressive. Even injured, he was that agile? With no reishi to help him? Well. Maybe this guy had more to him than the Hollow thought.

Still didn't like him.

From here, Shiro can see the ocean in the distance. Of course, you could see the ocean from almost any roof in the city... but it wasn't too far. Still too far to drag Mr. Dead Weight Ninja there.

But before they go...

"Oi. One more thing. When this is over and you're back to normal, we're gonna have a spar. I want to see what you're made of, Rinzler." He gives Ichigo a look and then runs across the rooftop, leaping to the next one. Luckily the jumps are the kind he can make without reishi.

Rinzler's found two careful exits (and half a dozen quicker ones) by the time Ichigo hits the rooftop. He looks back warily to meet the other's gaze. He doesn't glitching care how injured he is at this point-he's not being dragged along any further.

The user's blade comes up, and the program tenses, readies-only to pause at the words. Still 'later'. The black helmet dips grimly. He'll be ready. Rinzler had never really thought this more than a delay. And he hadn't expected even that much. The hollow's words make him glance sideways. Wouldn't that be redundant? Unless they plan to fight separately.

The program stares at the departing pair, circuits flickering faint and pale blue as his grip on his disk clenches with frustration. He doesn't understand them.

Not relevant.Rinzler turns away, makes for the far end of the building, mapping the simplest path from the area. He needs to leave. Find brief shelter, do what quick realignments he can. Complete recovery will take tens of milicycles, but even a few micros could help adjust to the ( ... )
