Her name called and the flash of white that suddenly appeared in front of her couldn't help but put Lucy more at ease.

"Desmond!" He was all right, he was still alive. But they wouldn't be both for long if they stayed out in the open like that. "I'm...fine. I'll survive, but we need to get inside. They outnumber us, we'll never win this fight."

Using the blade of her sword, Lucy teared part of her shirt, using the fabric that used to hide her belly to wrap the wound on her leg, trying to contain the blood flowing out there. Using the wall of the building to support herself, the blond started to slowly walk away from the dead locust, looking around to try and orient herself. They can't be that far from her house, can they?

"No." Despite the pain and the blood lost, her voice came out clear and strong. "No. I'm not leaving you behind, Desmond. We're not getting separated. Staying together is our best chance to survive this."

That and the fact that she could never live with herself if the novice died trying to protect her. Bracing herself, Lucy pushed her body off the wall she was leaning against and slowly made her way to Desmond. "I can fight until we get inside. Now, come on."

Raising her sword, she walked back towards her house, making sure Desmond would follow.

One day Altair was actually going to learn what it meant to play it safe, today was not day however. Which, of course, explained why he was currently outside, with the giant monsters that wanted to kill everyone they could ( ... )

The bug had completely taking her by surprise and while Lucy had been able to stop the oncoming slash from the front legs, gaining to upper hand tot eh fight had been impossible. Until she heard the flapping of fabric against the wind, the familiar sound of a Hidden Blade clicking into place before the locust went limp in front of her.

Taking a step back, she gave a long, unreadable look at Altaïr, before she nodded: "Thank you."

"You are welcome. Can you run, Sister?" He eyed the wound on her leg, noting that the puncture appeared to go through her thigh although he wasn't sure. "We need to find cover. These things appear to be throughout the city."

He slipped an arm around her and allowed himself to be used as a crutch, if needed, for her to move. The coast wa temporarily clear and he wanted them under cover before the monsters came back out.

Adrenaline was running high into her blood, making the puncture wound hurt less than it should have and Lucy nodded at the question. She would said yes even if the pain had been unbearable: she wasn't about to show weakness in front of the Master Assassin.

"Yes, I should manage. My home is not too far from here, we should head there. I have medical supplies and food." Hopefully it hadn't rotten all.

With her injured leg dragging a little, Lucy took the lead, aiming for her house as her eyes surveyed their surroundings, her focus on the sounds around them as she hoped the locust wouldn't reappearing for a moment.

Sean knew that the screaming probably wouldn't do any good to the locusts -- maybe daze them for a bit -- so he could only hope that it would distract them. He had been roaming the skies to test himself and the monsters, so when he saw Lucy running from the locusts and the hoard that was making its way over to her, he screamed as loud as he could. The locusts, confused and interested by the strange frequencies of sound, hover for a moment before turning around and buzzing away. Probably not for long, but it should be for long enough. Hopefully.

His landing is albeit a bit messy -- he hasn't practiced enough -- but when he stands up and hurries over to Lucy, he's just happy she's alright. Mostly alright, anyway.

"Lucy --" His voice is scratchy and he's still catching his breath, so he pauses a moment before speaking up once more. "Let's get you out of here."

The scream produced by the teenager made Lucy cringe and cover her ears, eyes tightly shut as she tried to manage the pain of such a high pitch. She knew this wasn't the sound of any of the insects she had come by, and for a moment, she worried that a new type of monster had found her in the streets. Luckily for her, she watched as Sean landed past her instead of something hell bent on eating her. Despite the dangerous situation they both were in, Lucy couldn't help but be impressed, amazed even at the teenager's ability.

"You.....you can fly?" It wasn't a question much as it was a statement, but the Assassin shook her head as the sound of buzzing wings could be heard closer and closer.

"You'll have to help, I don't think I can walk by my own" she said as she nodded towards her bloodied leg.

"That's right," Sean grins, nodding, before kneeling down in front of her, offering to taker her arm and drape it around his shoulder. He didn't want to do anything she didn't want him to do, though, so he was hesitating on touching her. He does seem quite antsy to get moving, though, because he did not like the sound of those locusts.

"Just, um...are you hurt anywhere else? I don't want to make anything worse." He eyes her leg, wincing at the blood, before looking back to Lucy.

"My other shoulder", she said as she wrapped her good arm around Sean's shoulder as now was not the time to be offended by physical interaction, not that she easily was on normal terms. "But I'll survive." Lucy was as well ready to leave the alley as she was worried the smell of her blood might attract more locust, or worse monsters.

"My home is close, we can try to make a run for it. We'll be safe inside."

Thankfully the female assassin was never truly alone. Not in a city this largely populated.

Raven, out on a swift patrol after making sure that Charles could handle himself momentarily without her, just so happened to follow the swarm of disgusting locust straight to the blonde woman in danger. Lucy may not be able to recognize Raven in her natural form, but the young mutant immediately knew the identity of her new friend. They may have only spoken once and very briefly over the PORTAL but Lucy's words had meant quite a great deal and stuck deeply with her.

"Lucy," Raven greeted just about as warmly as possible given the desperate situation. Yellow eyes flicked down to the other woman's thigh as she approached, making sure to keep out of the way of the sword just in case she was startled. "Is that your blood or..?"

The bugs still have yet to reappear, quite thankfully, though that beating of wings suggested they weren't too far away. Let's make this reunion quick.

Lucy turned around at the sound at her name, slightly startled but mostly thankful for the reinforcement. Though as her gaze stopped on the red and blue creature in front of her, her expression changed to complete surprise. She was sure she had heard the young blond woman she had talked with on the network the day of her arrival. Though the structure of her face was familiar, it was impossible for the Assassin to recognize her friend. But then again, in this world, everything was possible...

"Raven? Is that you? Did.....did something happened to you?" There no fear in her voice, only concern. If indeed this was her friend, Lucy wanted to make sure the young woman was well.

"What? -Oh. Oh no, I'm fine." A slow ripple of blue slithered up her slender arms as her appearance shifted to that of her 'normal' blonde self. Raven was quick to shoot a reassuring smile to her new friend as she moved even closer. The young mutant new her blue form would always be surprising to people, even in this world where she was so much more easily accepted. "That's just a little ability of mine."

Her eyes flick down to Lucy's leg. "But I think the better question is whether or not you are all right?"

The look of surprise and wonder was hard to miss on the Assassin's face as Raven turned into a more human look. Just was with Sean when he had told her of his ability, there's a hint of curiosity in her blue eyes. To a scientific like her that has studied genetics, Raven's ability was amazing. Despite the fact that they should get out of the streets quickly, Lucy let her curiosity get the best of her and she raised a hand to gently touch the younger woman's cheek, feeling the soft and warm skin there.

"How do you manage that? What else can you do?" Oh, Lucy was full of questions, but the screeches of approaching locust snapped her out of it. There will plenty of time to question her new friend, if they get to safety quickly.

She looked at her leg and shrugged despite the pain shooting from it. "I'm fine, I'll survive. We should get the hell out of here though."
