Who: Katakura Kojuro and Hino Rei/Sailor Mars When: Sept 1, day, before he learns his lord is missing Where: the beach What: Two warriors meet on the beach Warning: excessive staring
Sailor Mars hadn't hesitated to make her way to the beach. She wasn't sure what to expect with this samurai, she had wanted to wait to see him in person to see if he was one of the enemy or not. She was ready for anything as she approached.
As soon as she was a few feet away from him, Mars stopped, her stance stiff, ready to summon her bow if needed. She didn't sense any evil around him but that didn't mean he wasn't dangerous. "You must be the samurai then," she greeted him, her tone even but not cold.
"Even more reason to defeat the enemy," she looked at him sternly then, there was a determined look to her eyes, there was little that could be done to sway her.
"If there were knowledge of who was the enemy," Kojuro countered. He could see the determination in her eyes. He had it as well, though it had muted slightly due to the futility of the situation. He was trapped, him and his lord, and he hated it.
He still watched her with his dark, observant eyes, returning the look. He was quite serious with his words. He had a several month head start on information.
'We'll just have to find out, won't we?" she countered and she thought she had a good place to start with the palace. The king and queen sounded like good suspects to her and the more she heard, the more she wanted to find them.
As ambitious as Kojuro was, even he hadn't gone head to head with the king and queen. He would only do something so reckless if his lord had commanded it, but then again, Masamune would be right there leading the way.
"I wouldn't recommend attempting to siege the palace alone," Kojuro offered. It was something he'd considered himself. "Their defenses are formidable."
"I will need to investigate it more, I'm not just going to go take them on today," Mars countered, putting her hands on her hips. "If we all try at once, surely we can make some headway."
Well she did have some strategy to her. "The challenge would be getting everyone to cooperate," Kojuro noted, slightly sourly. It was much easier commanding his lord's army. This was completely different, no samurai code and loyalty bonding them together. There was some hope, a small rebellion, but that was something which would not be spoken of. "Currently that option isn't feasible."
"But it could be," Mars pointed out. She didn't understand why people couldn't cooperate if they wanted to get out of this place or wake up that is. "There has to be a way to get people to work together, somehow."
"I never said the option wasn't possible," Kojuro stated. It was still a possibility, albeit slim at times. What seemed to draw people together were festivals and food, and neither was particularly useful in forming an army.
"I want to find out more about this place for now, let me know if anything changes and I will do the same," Mars said in a matter-of-fact tone. She had only seen a tiny part of this city, there seemed to be so much more and she wanted to see other areas.
As soon as she was a few feet away from him, Mars stopped, her stance stiff, ready to summon her bow if needed. She didn't sense any evil around him but that didn't mean he wasn't dangerous. "You must be the samurai then," she greeted him, her tone even but not cold.
