He wasn't getting into more fights. Because Shiro would know. And this time? He would crash any party that Ichigo threw without him. Fuck that noise. He wouldn't let Ichigo fight crippled any more. So Shiro constantly monitored Ichigo for use of his power, increased heart rate, anger, excitement... anything that might tip him off.

But there was nothing.

So he just laid on Ichigo's bed, surrounded by his own long hair, and thought. About what, though? Everything. What Ichigo and he had to do when they got home. What it meant for him... being inside again, probably permanently. And maybe something worse. And then there was the matter of Lior. He wasn't sure, exactly, why it had disturbed him so much. Probably because of the compression of time. She was gone a week. And four hundred years passed? For someone who was 17 years old at best, 2 at worst, that was... more than a lifetime. It was inconceivable. He had a lot to think about, and it showed on his face. But he didn't want to hide, either. He found that he liked being around ( ... )

Even if she tries, he doesn't allow it, keeping his fingers wrapped around her hand, and his eyes locked with hers.

He'd done what he needed to survive in this place. To survive, just at first, so that his entire life wasn't arguing and strife. Then, after surviving, came living. Thriving. Making friends and making compromises, learning how these humans did things and finding out that it wasn't so bad. He knew he was on the precipice of losing all those things. They need only wake up in the real world, and everything would go back to how it was. Would Shiro go back to how he was? He wasn't sure.

"You promise? That seems like a silly thing to do. How would you do that?" A humorless chuckle, "Give him your power again? Oh, how I have missed Shirayuki's company~"

"Silly? Are you objecting to the idea?"

It was growing and changing and learning, finding out that suffering and joy traveled hand in hand. That choices were important. The forgiveness was possible change was the only constant in anyone's life. Realizing all those nice platitudes and idioms had some root in reality.

They, she blushed a bit as she realized that Shiro was holding her hand.

"If that is what it takes, yes. I've recovered from it before, and this time I'd be sure to just give him half!" Then, snorting. "That sounds perverted, Shiro. Don't talk about Sode no Shirayuki like that!"

"I'm just saying, making promises that you have no idea how to keep... well..." He didn't need to say it again. Just grins. It's more of a way to egg her on, into thinking of a way. If she really was going to do it, he didn't want to have to sit around and wait for her to come up with something.

Shiro notices the blush and lets go, then turns back around, gesturing at his hair.

"I don't think yer done yet! And What if he sucks it all outta ya again? Ooooh, then we have to carry your butt around again." He cackles, amused. "Keehehehe! I didn't say nothin' bad!"

Her hands go back into her lap and the brush therein. She's tempted to clobber him on the head with it, "promises she can't keep"! She grabs a handful of hair and begins brushing again, dragging the bristles across his head. It made him purr last time.

"Hmmph, fool, when have I ever not kept a promise? Even if he takes it all, I was still able to recover them once I was out of that gigai." A derisive sniff for the memory of that thing. "I would hope you would carry me around as a sign of your gratitude~"

Oh he's glad you decide not to whack him with the brush. That would have hurt, quite a bit. And as soon as she starts dragging the brush across his scalp, he starts to purr, the noise audible under his voice when he speaks.

"Ah, that weird gigai. Heheheh! But you'd get in trouble again. Would we have to save you?" He lets out another bark of laughter, "Here's where I would make a joke about your weight! But you're so tiny, it wouldn't even be funny."

You have been pardoned...for now. But that brush is still there. Beware!

She ponders that for a moment, turning over the possibilities in her head. "I suppose we would have to eventually include Urahara in this. He would probably have some sort of device or idea that would be of use." There's an addendum of besides, he owes you that she doesn't add, but its there. As for the crack about her petite stature, she rolls her eyes. Its amazing how brushing his hair doesn't even take concentration any more. "Then you won't have to complain about it, would you?"

He's so very scared. Shaking in his pajama pants.

"Tch. Of course he would. That crazy bastard has something for EVERYTHING! Ah, I wonder if he could find a way to externalize me, back home. Do you think?" He would like that. He liked being in the "real world". Maybe follow Ichigo to college, learn some things on his own. His purring only increases as she keeps brushing, concentrating on it or not. "Keh, you make up for with with all the noise you make!"

You better be.

"I would be surprised if he cannot find a way." If he can make the damn Hyougoku, then he can do something as simple as externalize a hollow. After all, there was that doll that externalized zanpakutou. It surprised her to learn thats how Ichigo achieved bankai so quickly. "If anything, he would enjoy doing it, I don't think he's capable of turning down a challenge."

Oy! Have a thump on the shoulder. "You should talk, you're both far louder than me."

"Give him enough time and he'd find a way to spin straw into gold... and other shit like that. I'm sure he'll think of something." Shiro cackles, "I'm sure he'd have fun with it. As long as it isn't something embarrassing. He might make it weird just to fuck with me."

He just snickers at the thump, "Haaa!! Maybe, maybe."

"I would imagine that's how he pays for everything in his shop." Since nobody was buying that candy store front and not enough shinigami passed through Karakura to buy from him directly. But the subject of strange gigais? What could he do to Shiro? Make him a female gigai?

...Rukia, dont laugh, then you'll have to explain yourself.

"You two can be heard from blocks away, I swear. That's plenty loud."

"Yeah... how DOES he pay for all that shit? He must sell drugs on the side or somethin'," Seriously. He had to have a meth lab down there or something. Or some weird Shinigami drug.

Her attempts to stifle her laughter get a sneer from Shiro, but not much else. No, he would straight out refuse a female gigai for regular use. For a one time thing to fuck with Ichigo? Oh definitely. But as a meatsuit to wear around? Fuck now. He'd just follow Ichigo around in spirit form!

"Tch! Prove it!"

"Honestly, I think I'm content to not know how Urahara earns his income." Because knowing would probably make her complicit to some sort of illegal black market trading of some sort. And Sniro with a female gigai, even for a day, would probably be the disaster to end all disasters.

"I'm sure I can find testimony to the fact from others."
