some street or something?? screamsup August 31 2011, 00:10:22 UTC
[So, Sean can't recognize Quorra on her high-tech light cycle or with her helmet on, but damn, that is one cool ride. He was out and about to explore as well, since all he's ever done is go to the mansion and back to his room several times.

He does offer up a wave towards Quorra, though.]

[ Quorra's head turned towards Sean, and smiled, even if he couldn't see it. She raised her hand and gestured to further down the street. There was a parking place where she could set the light cycle without it being in the way of anyone. Then she revved the bike up and took off towards where she had gestured. ]

[Oh? He gets it, he'll meet her at the parking place. He definitely gets there after her, though. he didn't want to run, he's too lazy for that. When he saunters over to her, he's got a rather large grin on his face.]

Nice ride.

[ She sat up on the bike, turning to look at him as he sauntered up. Once he reached her, the helmet literally folds in on it self, disappearing. Quorra smiles brightly at him, recognizing him as one of the people who visited the Arcade. ]

Thanks!

Tim has the same idea, only he doesn't have a bike to get him around. So he's dressed up in his Red Robin get up, swinging around the city and looking for something to do. He knows that some people might recognize him but when you're hanging around literally by a grappling hook, wearing more streamlined clothes works better.

He spots someone down below, riding a... Is that a motorcycle? It's nothing like one he's ever seen before.

Tim drops down next to the person when they're stopped at a light.]

Nice bike.

[ Her head turned towards the masked man, head tilting slightly. She nodded once. ]

Thanks. It's called a light cycle. [ And given it was night, teneka was in effect, so there was no distortion of her voice from her helmet. ]

Where did you get it from, if you don't mind my asking? [He's genuinely curious, looking over the design now that he's closer.]

Oh, I dreamed it up. [ Quorra sat up on the bike, the back folding off her frame as she cut the engine, letting him look at it. She hadn't seen anything like the Grid since she came to the city, so she always let people admire it. ]

It comes from where I'm from. The Grid.

we haven't prose'd in a long while /why not ultimarecipe August 31 2011, 01:30:16 UTC
Maybe it was a common thing to do, figure out the complete map of the city. Sora had been doing so since he'd arrived. Usually, he could find maps in discreet places in the worlds he went to, but Promenade was different in that way, too. So many things felt 'wrong' about the dream city.

The thing was, Sora didn't usually make a habit of walking around at night. That could be dangerous.

Instead, he opted for a... lighter way to travel. Gliding was second nature to him, probably thanks to Roxas, and he used it to get to several places fast. He needed to rest every so often, and the magic would start to wear off, start to slowly make him drift close to the ground. Sora flapped his arms, looking ridiculous, before he touched ground. Well, more like stumbled and then fell. His landings weren't all that good.

When he glanced up, however, he saw the familiar--in a way--lightcycle, and his eyes widened. Who was out for a spin? He waved towards the passenger, smiling brightly.

I love you prose. isomorphology August 31 2011, 03:17:19 UTC
It took a moment for Quorra to notice the flailing, but her head turned towards him. Quorra recognized Sora instantly. After all, no one had hair like that in the city.

Sora! She called out in his head, given the teneka magic that was in effect at night. Then she motioned for him to head up a bit on the street so she could completely cut the light cycle without being in the way.

Oh! That was Quorra! He recognized the voice in his head clearly and jumped to his feet. Hey, Quorra!

His eyes followed her motion and set to jogging ahead. Sora hadn't been expecting to meet someone he already knew on his night out--certainly not at this hour. Made him wonder why Quorra was out, as well. You're out pretty late.

Quorra laughed once the helmet began to fold back as she parked the light cycle. The Arcade opens in a few hours. I drive around before hand. What about you?

[What an interesting bike. Hibari had dreamt up a cigarette and had been leaning against the front gate of Namimori Middle School - his Place of Solace, don't ask - when he spotted it coming around.

A lifted eyebrow. If she didn't stop, that was fine with him. If she did, there would be questions.]

[ Quorra came to a stop once she recognized the man leaning against the gates to a building she hadn't recognized. She slowed the light cycle, cutting the engines completely before sitting up on it and giving him a wave. Then, her helmet literally folded back in on itself to reveal her face. ]

Severus had taken to wandering the city after a self-guided lesson with the PORTAL. Time of day hardly mattered beyond the city's rules. What else was there for him to do? Attempting experiments on his mirror was useless unless he wished to stare at a black abyss until his mind went as blank as the view. Dreaming up various things lost its novelty long before the PORTAL. It was simply an alternate to his own magic.

And honestly, mapping out the city by foot was just the next logical step whether or not he was bored. It was always good practice to know one's surroundings. He might even come across whatever his own "place of solace", whatever that was going to be.

In the distance on his right he could see a mansion sitting within what looked like an impressively sized property. As he casually walked along he heard some sort of vehicle approaching.

Quorra knew this part of the city fairly well. She had seen the looming mansion several times as she drove by, wondering who stayed inside but never bothered to investigate or even ask. She never understood why someone would need a house so big. Then again, she and Flynn had a small home build into the Outlands so that they couldn't be found. Before then it was Arjia City, home to ISOs and Basic Programs alike outside of TRON City. Then the Purge happened, and she had to fight to survive. Even in Promenade her living space was small, so it was no wonder she would stop and stare up at the mansion in wonder as to why it was so large.

Her head turned when she saw a man walking down the street. She came to a stop, sitting up on the light cycle and watching.

He studied the mansion again as he walked. It reminded him vaguely of the Malfoy mansion. Overly large, giving off an imposing sort of air. At least in the dark. His thoughts didn't stray further down that path. He wouldn't allow it. No, there would be no more meetings for him in someone's overdone home. No pretending to answer to a false master.

There was a glow coming from the same area as the noise he had heard. He turned his head and found himself staring at ... what exactly was it? It seemed like a fantastical version of a Muggle motorbike.

A smile worked on her face as she realized she didn't know the man striding down the street. She loved meeting new people and learning about their worlds. All of them were so different from The Grid that she never really knew what to expect. It was like opening a book for the first time and being amazed at the stories it held.

She raised her hand and waved.
