The Hollow rarely kept himself busy. He was like a small child, constantly bouncing around from activity to activity, never quite satisfied.

He hadn't really bothered Tatsuki much since the day she arrived and when he sensed her faint reiatsu in another part of the city, he decided to investigate.

And pester her.

Mostly pester her.

Summoning his black skeletal mask, the Hollow darts from rooftop to streetlamp to rooftop, balancing on bare clawed feet and using his tail to help. He spotted the girl and a mischievous thought entertained his mind.

Shiro crouched on the adjacent rooftop on all fours, tongue stuck out. He shifted his weight on his back feet, wiggling his rear a bit like a cat about to pounce.

And pounce he did. Right on her shoulders.

Tatsuki had reached her grazing moment hearing nothing more than the constant low rumble of the disappearing people on the street below and feeling nothing but the rise and fall of her own chest. She was calm and collected searching through the rooms of her mind for an answer to her predicaments when she felt the searing pain along her shoulders. She opened her eyes just in time to meet the concrete of the rooftop as the pressure of the others pounce sent her forwards. Hands clawed at the floor trying to lift herself up.

"GAH' 'AMMIT!" She did her best to scream but her current position was leaving her voice rather muffled. "Ge' off!"

Leave it to some form of Ichigo to ruin thinking time. Meditation be damned. She wouldn't be able to concentrate now, especially not when she was boiling with anger.

The Hollow sat on top of Tatsuki, pinning her to the rooftop with his claws and feet and wagging his tail like an excited cat with his prey.

"Hehehehe!! You should be more alert! Anyone could sneak up on you at any time!" he leans down and hisses into her ear, playfully, "I wasn't even hiding my reiatsu, little human girl."

With a flip, he bounds off of Tatsuki, doing a backflip into a crouching position in front of her. "What are you doin', anyway."

The girl would have easily rubuttled the fact she wasn't gifted with supersonic hearing or that stupid flash step he kept screwing her over with but she figured giving in to his calls of weakness wasn't the wisest thing to do. Once the guy was off her, she lifted herself up slowly, shoulders sore and more than likely bruised. Not once did she give a sign of pain despite how much her back ached as she slowly sat up and glared at the hollow, Tatsuki never showed weakness.

That face was annoying her again and instead, she flashed him a look to tell him so, crossing her arms in front of her chest.

"First of all, the name's Tatsuki, you ass. Stop calling me human, it's just creepy. Secondly, I was trying to get some alone time. Thanks for ruining it, Shiro."

As the sun sank lower toward the horizon, Byakuya decided to take a walk. He hoped the night would calm him. People still milled around, going about their lives, but as he traveled, the amount of people decreased, just slightly. Life here, accepting that his previous way of life was practically impossible to live now, was still sinking in for him. Even though Soul Society was busy, he had been able to find moments of solitude outside of the manor ( ... )

Despite how deep in her zen Tatsuki found herself to be, the beauty about training was to always stay alert for those small warning signs in case she had to react quickly. Because she was only human her hearing range only occupied a smaller range and in regards to sensing, her soul-scanning abilities weren't so sharp just as Shiro had made it quite clear in their conversations from before. When Bykuya appeared it wasn't the amount of energy that struck her first, it was the sound of that flash step. The girl cringed.

"Dammit, if you so much as lay a finger on me, Shiro, I swear I am putting a rubber band on that- Oh, hello there."

To her surprise it wasn't Shiro that was lurking through the darkness. In fact, it was something a lot better. Brow raised, Tatsuki surveyed the man. From behind he looked pretty darn good. A second glance at his clothing and the ammount of energy coming off from the guy, it didn't take her long to guess this guy wasn't just anyone. She stood up brushing at her skirt.

"You all travel in packs, don't you?"

Shiro. So this girl had met that abomination before, as well. Byakuya pitied her, but said nothing. He would never be able to forget how he was unable to defeat the Hollow, let alone really land a hit on him at all. It wasn't right. If Tatsuki were paying attention, she might be able to feel that darker tendril of reiatsu ebb from him.

The sun having gone down now, he took off his mask and turned around. Looking at her, he remembered the girl had spoken to him while he was a cat. Not that he would bring that up, of course.

Blinking, he thought about his words, speaking with Teneka through his mind. I interrupted you. My apologies.

The girl almost expected whoever this was to keep walking. A part of her, the more violent and brutal side, would have been all right with it. How bad could it be? She got schooled by Ichigo, how much lower could her pride go? When she saw them turn and apologize, however, she could only stare at him, that kabuki warrior mask still present on her face hiding her awe.

The fact some guy from that same world Rukia and Ichigo seemed to be so keen with was apologizing to her seemed so foreign. In comparison to the few she had met or heard about, she had grown the slight assumption that most were either jerks or just too stupid to give a damned about. On the other hand, the face behind the mask was far too cute to ignore.

Again, why was Ichigo hiding all the good looking people from her?

It's fine, I'm the one that decided to meditate on public premise, she responded, removing her own mask, it's a little hard to find some peace and quiet around here with all those people in the streets.

Well, at least Tatsuki was spared Ichigo's fit of temper? He'd managed to piss off, or alienate just about everyone else he knew, which is sort of ironic, since Tatsuki has generally been one of the few people who could smack real sense into Ichigo on any given occasion.
Still, he's been walking around with something of a storm cloud hovering over him for a while, avoiding housemates, friends, and people in general. But, even with all that, Tatsuki taking off one morning on her own is worrisome. He knows she's tough, sure, but Promenade is filled with crazy-powerful, or just plain crazy people. And if he was going to be out, too, it wouldn't hurt to check in on her, right?

Doing his best to remain inconspicuous ( and failing mightily ) Ichigo is walking down the street in front of Tatsuki's particular building in street clothes, with Zangetsu strapped to his back, and no mask.
Too bad he's not cottoned onto the fact that Tatsuki is above the street. He actually stops, and is turning around in place, looking for where she was. It's a ( ... )

With all the information the others had offered Tatsuki, the fact she was clearly useless to the cause of protecting and defending her friends had left a bad taste in her mouth. She had always assumed something was going on gravely over her head but she hadn't imagined it would be this serious or dangerous. Nothing could ever keep her from having faith in her friends, the fact she had never bothered to demand information before was a clear testament to that. Unfortunately, it was in her nature to be a guardian. How could she protect anything if she couldn't even do anything?

Those thoughts had haunted her mind worrying about what Ichigo had said, about how he wasn't sure he was cut out for the job. There were things she could say but nothing she could do to prove it. Beating his ass and letting him win wouldn't even count, she was just that weak now. It used to cheer him up when they were younger, however. Funny how the times change ( ... )

It was never about Ichigo doubting he could do it, or even that he was afraid of Aizen. Not really. The fear, and uncertainty fueling his doubt has everything to do with what he would have to become to do it.
After the blackout on the dome of Las Noches, and later Shiro bluntly telling Ichigo that he had lost - that he had died - thus letting the hollow take over in an explosion of rage, and pain. In the end, he won, but at what cost? Ishida was gutted on his own sword, and Inoue...well. Inoue was in tears, terrified, and had barely been able to look at him in the eye ( ... )

Ichigo looking for Orihime? Those two were like blind turtle doves chasing each other. It was adorable for lack of better words, Tatsuki was pleased. She would have smirked had she figured Ichigo wouldn't ask about it but being the best best friend in the world had it's responsibilities. She made a promise to Orihime never to tell the boy, he had never made her promise to tell him everything. It was a good balance.

"I don't know, if she's not with you she might be buried somewhere in a kitchen trying to get dinner started. It's about that time isn't it?" She gave half a glance at the sky.

"What are you doing all alone, Kurosaki? Runnin' from something?"

"Tatsuki-chaaaan!" A familiar call came as a hand smacked down on the stone behind where she was sitting. Orihime was struggling for a moment to climb her way up but she managed to pulled herself up.

She gave a deep breath before she adjusted her skirt and mask. "I've been looking all over for you!" Quite literally, she had been running down the street of the city looking for her. Didn't think to look up until now though.

Brown eyes opened quickly as they turned to catch sight of a climbing Orihime taking a surprised breath before fumbling to her feet and going over to the girl. She brushed off her own skirt and flashed her a smile. It was never trouble when her best friend appeared.

"You were looking for me? Is something wrong? I figured you would be making dinner or something. Didn't mean to worry you." She explained giving a light shrug. "How did you find me?"
