[Xion doesn't use a corridor of darkness to get there this time. She decides that that might attract attention, so she gets directions and walks there instead. Better to play it safe, right?]

[She's fast! Xion barely has time to turn before she's struck. She cries out, but she grits her teeth and moves to get out of the way of the sword before it hurts her any more, stepping in a way that allows her to do so and then slash at Rukia with the Keyblade.]

[A small flick of her wrist and the keyblade is parried aside. The two of them break off and create some distance before Rukia becomes the aggressor and dives back towards Xion, a simple swing aimed for her middle coming in fast.]

[Xion braces herself and throws up her Block, holding up the Keyblade to guard against the incoming attack.]

[Its strange. As tiny as Rukia is, its rare that there's an opponent who she can legitimately lock blades with and actually have a hope of winning the struggle and not be completely overwhelmed by sheer weight and height. So her sword locks with the Keyblade and Rukia tests to see if she can press the advantage.]

Ah --

[This wasn't what Xion was expecting. She thought that Rukia would strike and then back away to try again, so when Rukia starts to push, she's taken aback. But she digs her heels into the ground and pushes back as hard as she can.]

[And she gives. Its barely an inch, but she does move and Rukia is pressing the lapse in concentration as hard as she can until Xion buckles down and braces. Then it becomes a case of who can disengage the lock successfully first and strike at the other. Edging her foot to the side, Rukia prepares to try and slide away and make a slice at Xion's flank.]

[Xion's never done something like this before, so she has no idea how to properly pull away and strike. The move isn't even on her mind; she's just focusing on pushing back and not buckling.]

[And she makes the move. A sudden lunge to the right, letting the Keyblade slide off her blade with a resounding grate of metal against metal, before moving forward and smacking the flat of her sword against Xion's side as she passes.]

A-Ack --

[Another hit lands. Xion grits her teeth and she lashes out with Aubade without thinking about it as Rukia passes by. It's rash, but she's all ready starting to get frustrated.]

[The blade barely nicks her shoulder as she passes by, spinning on her heels to face Xion again, Rukia frowns.]

Relax, you are holding yourself too stiffly.

[She reflexively drops into her stance after the strike -- at least it hit, even just a little bit -- and blinks at the sudden advice.]

Wh-What?

You're tensing up, getting agitated. Breathe.

... Right.

[She takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly.]

Good. When you're tense, your body takes longer to respond. You wear out quicker and its harder for you to think.
