Now, after the revelation that Jarlaxle was even more of a sneaky, lying rat than Ichigo had credited him for, on top of the massive amounts of awkward glances between Ichigo, Rukia, and Shiro, and...well, Ichigo was anything but comfortable with the living arrangements ( ... )

Looks like today was that day.
Marking her page, she tucked the book under her arm and vaulted from the tree branch to land on the ice. Carefully putting both the water and the novel down on the bag that carried her lunch, her PORTAL, and a towel, she finally gave Ichigo her full attention.

But she shakes those dark thoughts away and busies herself with brushing off her hakama to hide the faint touch of color on her cheeks as well.
"It's not just that, Ichigo. Its other things."
Like having the hollow leer at her every time they passed each other. Like it treating her like an intruder, if not something in his territory to stake his dominance over. And that chafed, because she couldn't begin to compare to his power, because his power was Ichigo's, and they both knew it. It made her angry that the hollow could - and likely would, if their single discussion on the network was any indication - simply bat her around. She had no respect from ( ... )
