Normally Cou would've responded over the network-thing he had and let Rapunzel know he was coming. However, he was still looking for a place to live and he figured that if anyone would be able to help him pick out one of the houses to live in, she'd probably have a good idea of where he should go. And unfortunately, while thinking about that, he completely forgot to call like he knew he should have.
Thankfully, with a little asking and map-reading, he found himself wandering through the hall of House 10 and looking for the right door.
The final hint he sought was just as simple as following his nose; the scent of baked goods lingering in the air and leading him to a particular door. Once he was sure that the smell was coming from this one, he casually rapped on the door, "Hey! Rapunzel? It's Cou! I got yer message!"
Rapunzel was humming to herself as she cleaned up. Even though baking caused a mess, she didn't want anyone to think that she was actually messy. And besides, she wanted everyone comfortable and happy. With everything that had been going on, she needed a way to cheer everyone up, and this was the perfect idea. Sweets was what she was promising others, so why not make it for everyone.
When she heard Cou's voice, she quickly turned to the door. "You can come in!" She called out to him, and as she did so, she grabbed him a plate to put all the sweets on. The one thing she made sure to do was bake enough for everyone, and make sure everyone could have seconds and thirds. Baking was one thing she knew how to do, since she baked so much back in the tower and had no one to feed.
When he heard her reply, he casually opened the door and stepped inside. Giving a glance behind him to make sure no one else had responded as well, he closes the door behind him as he makes his way toward the scent of cookies, cakes and sweets. Of course, what he found was a far deal more impressive than he'd expected. He'd have to be excused for at least momentarily going slack-jawed; it seemed that Rapunzel had really gone all-out and made more baked goods than he'd seen in a single place over the course of his entire life -and he'd been on raids that sacked the homes of the super-rich.
So taking a moment recollect himself and smile with anticipation, he gives his host an excited glance, "Whoa, you weren't kidding when you said you liked to bake. This..." The pirate is still at something of a loss for words as he just gestures to the treasure trove of sweets before him. "Heheh, this is just astounding!"
Hearing his compliment made her so happy. She liked knowing that this was impressive. That meant it would make others happy, which is why she did it. She was discovering more and more each day that she liked making other people happy. It brought her so much joy. She knew she liked making her mother happy, but that was the only other person she really knew. Flynn was a different story.
"Please, eat!" She clapped her hands together before directing him to the food. "And if you don't like something, that's okay. Hopefully you'll find something you do like." If he didn't like something, she really didn't mind. There were plenty of things her mother didn't like, but she didn't take it as an insult on herself. Rapunzel knew that she was a good baker. However, she just wasn't sure what other people liked.
After speaking with Rapunzel with her portal, Ahiru somehow found her way to house 10. Once she was close enough, the smell of freshly baked treats lead her right to Rapunzel. Curiously, Ahiru poked her head in the door to peek inside.
Smiling, Ahiru entered and walked over to the kitchen. She eyed a plate of cookies, but remembering her manners she briefly held off from attacking the baked goods.

"Yes! Please come in!" Rapunzel smiled brightly. She was so happy people were coming over. "And please eat as much as you want."

He'll knock on her door first since he doesn't want to just... step inside without saying anything.]

HOPE! Come on in! Please take any sweets you'd like.

[She gets a smile at least. His eyes go wide at the amount of food, though.]
...Wow, you made all of this?
