Noah, it would have been worse if you'd had to haul a drowning pirate who was all muscle in just your dress. It would have ruined the night for both parties involved.

"Well sometimes when I've been trying to track down the person I've been looking for, I haven't always been able to find a bed for the night. Or information. Or food or directions. Bad practice to carry a lot of money on your person anyway," he took another sip, larger this time now that it wasn't so much of a 'what am I putting in my mouth' moment and smiled, "So I've had to flatter and charm my way into something or for getting something cheaper than advertised."

"Well that's one way of doing it. I won't lie, I've done the same thing." She nodded down to her chest, you know, the one he had just faceplanted into? "Women have their ways of getting things, and I know men do, too." She gave him wink before reaching out with her free hand to pinch one of his cheeks playfully, "It helps that you're cute."

Not looking, not looking, not looking--

Totally looking.

And then back to her face (just as lovely by the way).

"I bet you say that to all the half-dressed pirates who cross paths with you," he teased and dammit, that cheek pinch had him blushing again as well as thinking of Luffy and the 'pinching' he'd done to that rubbery face so many times. "Is that the only reason I'm having a boarding pass extended to me?"

After saying his greetings to the woman he quite fervently hoped to bed, Jarlaxle wandered around the palace, and was a little confused when he stumbled onto the pool. In Menzoberranzan, such things were commonly used in public bath houses, or even in the elaborate bathing rooms of the noble families.

Yet this one seemed different. Perhaps it was because it was not meant for bathing that he felt thrown off.

A lovely woman sat beside the pool, beautiful legs dangling into the water. Deciding that she looked attractive and sane enough to approach, Jarlaxle walked up to her.

"Do you mind if I join you?" he asked.

Noah looked up when the question was asked, unable to really hide the look of surprise when the dark elf came into view. Whoa, she had never seen someone that looked quite like him before, not even here in Promenade. and if he had been on the network she must have missed him--how could she miss that?! Either way it didn't really matter, and she had seen odder things around here.

"I don't mind at all." She said with a smile after washing that confused look off her face, patting the spot beside her, "Have to warn you though, it's not very exciting around here."

"I could use a moment or two of utter dullness; it's quite the noisy party," Jarlaxle replied, removing his boots, rolling up his trouser legs, and plunging his dark feet into the water. Ah, but that felt wonderful!

"I don't believe I've seen you around before," he added, after a moment of studying the woman.

"You got that right. but I guess that's what happens when you invite the entire city," or what she assumed was the entire city; it sure as hell looked like it. "It could be worse though."

She looked him over again, "I've been hiding," she was teasing, but it was pretty true. She hadn't really been on the network much and once she found her ship she kind of just stayed there where she felt most at home, "I can't say I've seen you either, and I think I would remember if I did," she offered a hand out to him, "I'm Noah."

"People are noisy at parties in any location, it seems," Jarlaxle replied with a brilliant smile.

"Hiding? I daresay, the world is a much brighter place when you're not," Jarlaxle teased right back. The mercenary took her hand and gave it a firm shake instead of kissing it. She didn't quite seem like that type who would flutter and gasp over such a thing, and so it wasn't worth it to try. "Jarlaxle. It is a pleasure to meet you."

"You got that right. I'm waiting for a fight to break out; that would make this a real party."

"Do go on," she said with a laugh in response to his teasing, returning the handshake with a firmer grasp than one may expect--unless they knew her well. "Likewise. Mind if I call you Jarl?" until she thought of a good nickname for him, then he'd be stuck with that.

She had to ask, "So...you're a--?" elf? She was going to say, but damn she really didn't want to be too rude, even if she was blatantly staring at his pointy ears.

"Not at all," Jarlaxle replied with a smile. Some humans had a thing for nicknames, he knew, though he had hardly ever been given one. How amusing!

"An elf." He reached up and removed his hat from his head, placing it in his lap where other people would be safe from it should they foolishly attempt to touch the magical item. The moment revealed his smooth, bald head, and his heavily pierced, pointed ears. "See? I even have the ears."

Wow. Superheroes, Giant robots and now elves? This place had everything, didn't it?

Noah stared for a few seconds longer, unable to control herself when she reached out and very lightly touched the tip of one of those pointed ears, "Holy shit you really are an elf." or he had gotten some amazing makeup done on him to get him like that, "I've never seen an elf before." obviously.

The touch to the tip of his ear made Jarlaxle's eyes close and his body shiver in a way that was not at all unpleasant. Many of his human lovers had been fond of playing with his ears. It was a trait he rather liked in a woman, as that particular area of his body was rather sensitive.

"Yes," he replied, voice shaking just slightly.

Whoa, not what she was expecting. But she was too amused by his ears and the fact that he's an elf to pass up doing that again, so this time she actually tweaks his ears slightly; running her finger along the earrings there after. Would she ever pass up the chance to mess with someone? Absolutely not; it was too funny. That and when would she honestly get the chance to touch elf ears again?

"Alright, I think I'm done. Sorry." no she wasn't.

Jarlaxle had to pull away, or he was going to do something Noah may or may not have reacted to well at all. His breathing was a little hard and his eyes certainly held more than a bit of desire for her.

"If you keep that up, you had best be prepared to handle the consequences of your actions," he warned in a voice that clearly gave away the sudden surge of lust that he felt.

Noah just smirked, looking more than pleased with herself now. The warning only earned a laugh from her; she knew she could defend herself if necessary. It was too bad she didn't really know about the spell or anything.

"Hey, I said I was done! When am I gonna get the chance to touch elf ears again...I mean really. I can't help it." she shrugged, "I'm always prepared."
