That depended on one's definition of "that bad." Unfortunately, whatever it was probably coincided with whatever was going to happen here. Kanda wasn't the most considerate person, nor the most subtle or discreet. Whereas others in the Order tended to try and give off a reassuring vibe, or display open kindness, he tended to be on the gruffer side. He knew that it wasn't necessarily wise, and he knew that sometimes it was better to greet someone with a smiling face than a scorning one, but knowing something and practicing it were two different things.

And that was exactly why Kanda's face was somewhere between indifference and impatience when he walked into the shop (no, he wasn't wearing a mask). He just wanted his answers here, for his own reasons.

"Are you the one they call Lioriley?" He already knew the answer, Lioriley's features weren't especially normal, but he figured he should ask anyway. For clarification.

This time when the door opened and the man she had spoken to the night before walked in, she sat up straight, rubbing her still aching head as she did so. The poor stuffed otter was currently clutched tightly in her hand because, again, she was talking to some strange man that seemed rather firm and abrasive. She was use to that attitude while traveling with Veles, but she had just come back from a traumatising event and really...really didn't want to try and wrap her head around why he was acting as such.

Either way she nodded her head, staying behind the counter for the moment, "Yes, I'm Lioriley. W-Who are you...?"

Good. He got the right place.

... but the girl was more timid than he would have imagined. He supposed he should have expected that, people were usually a bit traumatized after brushes with death. He stepped further into the store as he replied, "My name is Kanda."

For a few seconds he glanced around his surroundings, trying to gauge its safety. When he finished that he spoke again, "I'll get straight to the point. I'm looking for your killer-what I want from you is information. Now that you've had time to rest, can you remember anything else that might have happened that night?"

Timid for all the right reasons. Lior was usually quick to trust anyone and everyone, but after what she had heard thus far, she was not very inclined to do so just yet. Surely once she recovered she would be back to her old self, but for now she was wary of many many things.

Lior's stomach knotted at the mention of her killer, light blue eyes shifting to one side to avoid looking at Kanda directly. Staring at the stuffed animals along one of the shelves seemed like a better idea, "All I remember is visiting my friend's grave in the gardens. T-Then...someone came up behind me and everything went dark? I don't...I don't remember much?" and the only way she knew someone had been around was the fact that her etchings had been glowing beforehand.
