I'm having feeeeelings. It's the end of an era.

In the mean time, the twenty-first old Etonian is addressing the country as the new PM. And it goes on.

WE'RE ALL DOOMED! DOOMED! THE COUNTRY IS GOING TO THE DOGS, ESCAPE WHILE YOU CAN!

ahem. feel so sorry for brown. history will be kind to him, i think; he was a good prime minister who lead the world in reaction to the banking crisis and took decisive measures. the tories will inherit a government in much better stead then the one new labour took over in 97. dreading the cuts and dreading osbourne dragging us into recession again with his wacky economic policy, but lib/con will probably have collapsed by the time the next elections's called. hope they do a good job obviously, but i don't have much faith in them. can't wait for murdoch's media reaction when it all goes to shit.

it truly is the end of an era. still, with mandy and campbell on team, labour have hope! it'll be interesting being the opposition again. john prescott was already getting stuck in on c4 news before brown had even resigned!
