we should just hold a mini gwen/merlin marathon. boy had better be distressed about what happens in the next episode, on behalf of gwen. i need more than elyan sticking up for her.

and presumably after next week everyone will be slightly turned off a/g on account of arthur's inevitable dickitude. is that a word? mind you everyone might jump to lancelot/gwen instead.

i reckon he will be. also on behalf of lancelot's memory, because it's gunna be totally wrecked. basically all of merlin's favourite people are gunna come out looking the worse - rightfully (ARTHUR.) or wrongfully (gwen/lancelot).

he won't do enough. but he'll be upset for her, and at least somewhat on team!gwen, no doubt. even if it's only colin morgan's face that portrays this, and his lines say otherwise. but then what else is new with everyone on this show

if they're not already? i think a lot of people sort of jumped ship after that sexist crap at the end of last ep. between that and his dickitude (it's a word now!) i think most are kind of side-eyeing the whole r'ship or sinking into the bliss of head!canon where everything is wonderful and nothing hurts.

hahaha next coffee leon backs up arthur/aggs. and yeah, I think merlin's going to be equally cut up because it's Lancelot and he loves Lancelot and nothing would be better if Lancelot was somehow alive and lovely. but it's not and intead it's going to be some awful enchanted watery version. seaweed in the ear and no gentle words for him. He's going to be mourning the loss of his friend all over again.

in my head, that's part of the reason gwen takes off because it's not exile shut up it's not actually going to be exile or some sacrificial fuckery. she's also pissed off her best mate isn't doing more. there is literally no one in camelot who has her back enough.

are they? idk, i'm seeing a lot of ppl terribly upset for the arthur/gwen relationship next week, whereas that is like, my last priority. if they were being portrayed strongly, we wouldn't have anything to worry about cus we'd trust them to come out of BLATANT WITCHERY with their heads held high.
