I wouldn't say you're only talking to yourself. There are a few people that still read through this hoping to hear from old friends... Well, at least I do.
Graduation eh? I might be graduating in December as well, of course I could also take a few more years. I too wish to be a teacher, yet I'm more apprehensive about no one wanting a German teacher, than messing students up. As I've found, if you have passion for what you're teaching, you'll probably be a good teacher. That's my experience anyway.
As for needing German teachers...trust me, they're looking for any kind of foreign language teacher at all. There is a major shortage. In fact, you will probably be asked to work for two or three schools within the same system at the same time. Of course they prefer something like Mandarin but they will take German for sure.
It was good seeing you again, even if it happened in the blink of an eye!
Your realization of adolescence and musical attachment is profound. I can't imagine being a kid these days, listening to music and having it define their character like the 90's and millennial tunes may have done for you. In the place of Nirvana & Blink 182, the kiddos have things like Lil' Wayne and Nickleback (blegh) always on the radio.
Recorded introspection is just as entertaining to a reader. ^_^
