It seems that beerdiablo and Quetzie have been busy

txtriffidranch pointed out that pulque is making a comeback in Mexico. Now, if we could convince Dogfish Head Brewery to make more of its Theobroma (based on recent chocolate findings in Honduras), we have the makings of Mesoamerican mayhem.

chocolate, mexico, food, pulque

I do wonder when someone is going to do a craft version of pulque.

Here's a brew revue for you:

Dogfish Theobroma - it's past it's prime, now it's a dull, light brown ale. No spice. Best drank within three months of bottling/kegging.

Southern Tier Choklat - Vanilla extract flavoring. Seriously. It would be good to made a bread pudding with, as a beer - I won't be repeating a purchase.

I drink these kinds of beer so my non-beerfiend friends don't have too.
Quetzie just laughed at me and said I was a fool for drinking this stuff.

You could probably buy a bottle each of Rogue's chocolate stout and chipotle ale. Start by mixing them 4:1 and 3:1. That might be tasty.
