Well, I'm pretty sure it should be pitch black like empty space and black holes and stuff. Pure white would require light, which is "something". Although, this totally goes against Spongebob (YOU KNEW IT WAS COMING) in the episode where Squidward gets a time machine and then ends up "nowhere" and everything is pure white.

But pure white wouldn't necessarily require light, if you think un-physics-ly. If this place was absolute NOTHING it would be like it was blank and empty. Wouldn't white be more blank and empty than black? Nothingness would be a place where there's no laws of nature, so idk obviously we could argue either one.
