It's a huge campus (covering many city blocks) with many gourmet cafeterias, great snacks, and primary-color decor. It's very cheerfully decorated (lots of Google colors). It's set up to encourage employees to spend as much time there as possible (three hot meals every weekday, gym facilities, laundry). There's all kinds of strange amenities, including a bowling alley, a climbing wall, and a ball pit. There are a huge number of people there. It's not uncommon to see whole families at meals, so it seems like something of a company town.

The only thing that surprised me was inconvenient positioning of outlets in common areas. I'd expected people would do their work all over campus a lot. But I guess people mostly work at their desks.
