CHAPTER 13 - “You complete me”
Kazuya felt so nervous. He was sure he had never felt this nervous before, and he wasn’t even sure why he felt so nervous. It was only Jin’s boyfriend. Why did Kazuya feel like he needed an approval or something? It’s not like he’s meeting parents or anything. He also wanted to know how Ryo was doing, and maybe Pi would tell him that. What if Pi tells him they were having lot of sex? Well, that’s not too different from him and Jin, though. Kazuya was tapping his fingers on the chair, and gulped before Pi broke the silence.
“So you’re working at Jin’s school, I hear?” Pi looked at Kazuya, and Kazuya couldn’t tell if he was trying to be nice, or he waited for Kazuya to answer something where Pi could tell how wrong he had done. So instead of saying really anything, Kazuya made a small nod, trying to create a smile to his face. “Isn’t it kind of dangerous? If they find out Jin’s gay, they’ll kick him out.”
So Kazuya was right after all, he just wanted to say something to make Kazuya feel guilty or bad about working for the first time in a long time. “It’s okay, I think no one knows I’m gay in there, or Jin for that matter.”
“You do realize you’re wearing a shirt that says I heart shoes, bags & boys?”
“I’m aware.”
“Let’s talk about something else.” the therapist crossed his legs, and made a proper eye contact with both of them. “Let’s start with your relationships you’re at the current time.”
“What about them?” Kazuya asked then, because if they were really talking about stuff like their sex life, Kazuya wanted out. Plus if this man was going to say one more thing about his clothes that didn’t include how amazingly they suited him or how good he looked in them, he was afraid he had to fight an urge to punch this guy.
“Do you talk about personal issues with your current partners?”
“I don’t have personal issues, not ones that I’m comfortable to discuss with anyone.” Pi said, giving a quick glace at Kazuya, and that’s the moment Kazuya knew, if this was going to continue, only one of them was going to walk out of those doors alive.
“I agree. I don’t really have any-”
“Let me stop you right there, Kamenashi. We both know that there’s-”
“If you’re going to say that I’m alcoholic, I’m going to make sure you won’t be able to talk for the rest of your life.” Kazuya said calmly, crossing his leg over the other one. He was tired of everyone telling him that, he did not have a problem. If he had a problem, he wouldn’t be able to quit. It’s not like he wouldn’t be able to, he didn’t want to. Beer every now and then made him feel so much looser, and all the uptight shit is gone. He just happened to feel that shit everyday, and he was sure as fuck he was not going to talk about that here. “And we have talked about it with Jin, if you must know that.”
“You have?” Pi looked at Kazuya then, with sort of hurt in his eyes. Kazuya wondered if that was because Pi didn’t want Jin to worry about him or because Pi and Jin never talked about pretty much anything.
“Yeah, we have.” Kazuya sighed. “Can we drop this and go to the next question, please?”
--
The next day Jin ran to the appointment he had with Ryo and the therapist, cause he’s already a little late. Kazuya seemed to be really inspirited pretty much the whole night. “I’m sorry I’m late.” Jin cleared his throat as he sits next to Ryo. “Hello.” he said receiving a nod.
“Let’s start then. Do you try different things in bed than you did with your original partners?”
It’s the first time Jin saw Ryo in something else that a suit. He was wearing a blue cardigan that was a bit loose and it had stripes with other shade of blue. It was pretty nice. If it didn’t seem so itchy Jin would perhaps consider searching for one. Ryo’s hair wasn’t as tidy as usual. It was a bit messy, and part of it was on his face. Now to think of it, Jin could imagine hitting this man if he’d see it this way in a club. Jin hoped that him wanting to actually fuck Ryo didn’t make this awkward.
“Well yeah,” Jin saw the flush coming up on Ryo’s cheeks. “With Kazuya, I was always the one to control, and-” Jin couldn’t hear more than that. Kazuya- not controlling? Jin basically had to hold Kazuya to keep himself on control, he was always fighting for it. “With Pi, we’ve tried lot of different things, We’ve both topped and bottomed, and um-”
“He let you top him already?” Jin had to interrupt. Pi let this dude top him already? It took three freaking months for Pi to let Jin top him. Pi wasn’t the first one Jin bottomed for but he had never been a bottom for such a long time.
“Yeah?” Ryo didn’t seem to get Jin’s point.
“Well smack my ass and call me Judy.” Jin leaned back. This was so shit. He wanted out, he wanted go to Kazuya and cuddle with him, and have lots of sex with him on the shower, on the table, on the bed, against the wall, everywhere possible. Instead he was here talking with a dude who got to do it in 2 weeks.
Then it hit him. He was thinking about Kazuya even on the therapy. Even when Kazuya’s boyfriend, well the real one at least was sitting next to him. He couldn’t resist thinking all the things he could do to Ryo to make sure Kazuya would never take Ryo back.
The therapist cleared his throat, to get both of their attention. “Turn to face each others. Do you have any sort of urge to do anything negative to each others?”
Both of them froze, which told that they were both busted, and the therapist knew from that moment on, this experience of his may not be such a success as he had thought to begin with.
When the session was finished, it was weird for Jin to walk to other car when he saw Pi on the car where Ryo was going. It wasn’t really as sad as he could’ve imagined, but it definitely felt weird. But when he saw Ryo kissing Pi on the lips, he knew, Pi had the very same feelings for Ryo that he had for Kazuya. He wasn’t sure if he should tell Kazuya, though.
He parked the car to his yard, yawning as he walked to the apartment. “Hey, babe. I’m back.” when he got no answer, he looked around to find all the lights out. Kazuya was still sleeping? He slipped out of his shoes, flipping his keys to the table and walking to the bedroom to find Kazuya curled up, holding a pillow.
With a smile, Jin walked a bit closer, stripping himself from his jeans and jacket, sliding next to Kazuya, trying not to wake him up. It was like 2.30pm and he couldn’t feel happier to go to sleep than he was feeling now. Kazuya turned to look at Jin with tired eyes. “Oh, hey.”
“Hi.” Jin murmured, placing a small kiss on Kazuya’s lips. Jin felt Kazuya smiling on the peck which was enough for him, he wrapped his arms around Kazuya, and snuggled closer.
--
Kazuya had his eyes on somewhere he shouldn’t really. He was curious of what he and Ryo had talked about, but he knew the therapist had told them they weren’t allowed to talk about the shit to each others, as he had to Kazuya and Yamapi. After Jin’s session with Ryo, he’s been like a prince charming, and that told Kazuya something was off. And Kazuya knew he should be watching the class, and watch if someone wasn’t doing what they were supposed to, but Kazuya couldn’t help it, seeing Jin, writing something to the blackboard, slipping in few smiles as he told the class shit that no one really cared, or understood for that matter.
“Remember,” Kazuya was suddenly awaken from his thoughts, when Jin looked at him, giving a small smirk, and Kazuya’s first reaction was to watch the glass, if someone noticed it or something. When Kazuya turned back to Jin, he had his back towards Kazuya, writing letters to the board. “When you say y-o-u-r, it means your,” he said, and looked at the class, and Kazuya guessed he checked if there was someone who didn’t get it. Then he turned back to the board. “And when you use y-o-u-‘r-e, it mean you are. Now who can explain the difference of these two?” he looked the class, and few raised their hands.
Kazuya always knew Jin was a good teacher. He got along with kids, and he seemed to love his job. That’s why Kazuya was kind of sad of what Pi said to him the other day. If anyone knew Jin was gay, he’d get fired. Same for Kazuya. Kazuya didn’t really mind even if he did, but if he’d get busted, it might affect Jin’s career, and Kazuya never, ever wanted to make that happen. When he looked at Jin again, he was suddenly so close, and Kazuya couldn’t even remember focusing on the answer of Jin’s question to the class, or if it even was answered correctly.
“Eh?” Kazuya looked at Jin, who was watching him interrogatively. Now, this was embarrassing, and it was happening in front of the whole bunch of brats. Great.
Jin looked the class, telling them to do some exercises on some pages, it was English so Kazuya actually didn’t know which. “Kamenashi-kun, could I see you in the hallway?” Jin said, back faced on Kazuya again, and he felt like he was going to get scolded of his focusing today. Kazuya just nodded, got up, and followed Jin to the hallway.
When Kazuya closed the door, and turned to face Jin, he pushed Kazuya against the wall, running his hand through his hair. “Wha-” he had no time to even ask, when Jin was already locking their lips. The kiss was pure, and soft, and even if it may have appeared harsh and hot, it wasn’t, and Kazuya was always wondering how Jin managed to actually do that.
“Now that you got that out of your system, could you please focus?”
Kazuya just stood there, dazing at Jin. He had clearly noticed Kazuya was not focusing on anything, but staring at Jin, and it seemed he was drooling after him the whole time. He made a small nod, smiling, and telling he was sorry. Kazuya brought his palm on his mouth, when he coughed few times.
“You okay?” Jin asked, and the lust in his eyes changed into worry. Another thing, Kazuya really admired about Jin. He always noticed everything. Even the smallest cough. When Kazuya nodded, and told he thought he’s coming down with a cold, Jin told him, he’d pamper Kazuya when they’d get back home, and from that second, Kazuya couldn’t wait for the day to end. “I have to get few papers from Matsumoto-sensei, you think you could watch the class while?”
“Yeah, sure, I can do that.” Kazuya smiled nodding few times. “Expect now I can focus less, cause all I think of is you pampering me,” he leaned a bit closer, until his mouth was inch apart from Jin’s ear. “All night long.”
When Jin blushed, Kazuya smirked. He thought it was weird that Jin could be so mature, yet so childish. He could be so hot, yet so sweet and cute. Jin could be everything, actually Jin was everything. That’s what Kazuya thought, at least. Jin smiled at Kazuya before leaving to get the papers. He massaged his lips together thinking what risk he just took. Kazuya could make him even do that. “Matsumoto-sensei?”
Matsumoto lifted his head from his files, looking under his glasses. “Oh, Akanishi-sensei. What can I do for you?” Jin and Jun hated each others, but they had this game going on all the time. It started with doing it in front of people, but these days even when there was only the two of them, they did it. They acted overly nice each others, which counted almost as baby talking.
“I need to get the files from that substitute of yours.”
“And why is that?”
Jin sighed. He so wasn’t on the mood for this. “Because-”
He had no time to continue when a student rushed in. “Akanishi-sensei, Kamenashi-sensei is-”
That was all Jin heard, when he dropped the pen he had between his fingers and started running. Did Kazuya slip, and hit his head? Did someone attack him? All the questions of what might have happened hit him. He turned to the classroom to find students around Kazuya and Kazuya lying on the ground, bloodstains everywhere. “Kazuya?” he didn’t even bother to hide the fact that he knew him and call him Kamenashi. “Kazuya?” He kneeled in front of him, lifting Kazuya to lay on his thigh. “Somebody get the nurse! You,” he pointed the girl standing in front of him. “Call an ambulance!”
He looked down on Kazuya, blood dripping from his mouth. “What happened?” he looked up the class and one of them explained that he just started coughing like mad, and suddenly there was blood everywhere and he fell down on the floor.
“Jin-”
Jin looked down on Kazuya. “Kazuya, what the fuck?” he knew he got some faces from that form the students but he didn’t care. “What is this?”
“My stomach- hurts.” Kazuya murmurs.
“Don’t you dare die on me!” Jin felt tears coming up. “You know I’ll never forgive you if you die now.” Jin sniffed.
“I know.” Kazuya smiled. He coughed again, and most of it was blood, all over Jin now. He brought his hand up on Jin’s cheek, and Jin took a good hold on it.
“Kazuya,” Jin looked at Kazuya whose eyes started to seem empty. “I love you.” he said but he knew Kazuya couldn’t hear it. Then he lifted his head quickly to his students gapping at them, most holding their hand covering their mouths. “Yes, I am in love with a man, do some of you have a problem with this?”
“The ambulance is here!”
--
There was this blinding jolt of pain, this searing agony that just spread everywhere, and absently, Kazuya had to wonder if he'd got beaten by someone even though he couldn’t remember it. There's a hiss of air and the calm, constant beep of a machine and Kazuya realised that he's in a hospital bed. It must've been one hell of a beating. It took him four tries before he could open his eyes, the light above him blinding him momentarily before he realised that his throat was blocked. It's the gagging that draws attention and Kazuya started to panic around the tube in his mouth.
“Kazuya, Kazuya, baby, just stop, its okay, just stop.” It's Ryo’s voice, there's a hand stroking along his wrist and Ryo called for someone out of the room while Kazuya tried to stop choking on the tube, tears springing to his eyes. There's a rush of doctors, nurses and whatever, Ryo talking in a low voice and Kazuya couldn’t help but to wonder why Ryo was there. They took the tube out, his throat feeling raw and sore, and Ryo’s there with ice chips for him suck on while the doctors were checking his charts.
“Ryo,” it felt like he hadn't used his voice in days, rough and scratchy. Ryo stroked his hand over Kazuya’s hair, waiting for his question while popping another piece of ice in his mouth. “Where's Jin?” His face shuttered slightly, eyes going a little misty.
“Go to sleep, Kazuya,” Ryo’s petting at him again, and he was still tired, and the doctor just put something into an IV that's connected to his hand, “Go to sleep just now.” Maybe Jin would be there when he’d wake up again.
The pain was back, which jerked him awake. Ryo’s still there and he leaned forward, pressing something beside him before reaching for the cup of ice chips again, offering them over. Kazuya took a few before relaxing back into the pillows, the pain slowly ebbing away. He still couldn't see Jin, but Ryo didn't look like he's going to move at all.
He couldn't remember why he's in the hospital, but sometimes when there were hard tackles the memory of it happening got shot a little. But he would've expected Jin to be there, complaining about how he couldn’t take care of himself alone, making sure he ate all the hospital food, telling him he needed to be more careful. Jin always got worried about Kazuya, whatever happened. Jin was okay, right? “Where's Jin?” He asked Ryo again, and the reaction was pretty much the same.
“He's not here, Kazuya.”
“Why not? Where is he? What's wrong?” He tried to sit up, but there's a flare of agony along his side and he needed to lie back down to stop it. “What happened?”
“This is your morphine, you push the button when you need it, do you hear me?” Ryo had that voice, the one that told you when he's really serious and Kazuya nodded slightly, because as if he's going to pass up drugs that stop him hurting like he got hit by a mack truck. “What's the last thing you remember?”
“Um, school. I was at school, the kiss.. Why am I here?” he remembered the kiss, he remembered watching Jin’s ass when he left, then there was the pain in his stomach, and throat, and the coughing, and then he sat down, and there was the blood. But he didn't remember getting up from that chair.
“Kazuya, you've been in the hospital for two days now. You've had a pretty rough two days, and it's going to take a while to get better, but you're going to be fine, okay?” Ryo ran his hand over Kazuya’s head again and Kazuya felt the dread coil up in his stomach.
“Where’s Jin? Is he okay?”
“He’s fine. Everything’s going to be just fine,” Ryo said, letting his fingers roll round Kazuya’s hair. “I’m taking care of you now, I’m taking you home.”
