PROLOGUE
Isn’t it ironic? We ignore the ones who adore us meaning we adore the ones who ignore us.
Everything was white outside, sun glowing off snow. Placing a cigarette between his lips, Jin looked up to the sky. The air froze, crackled in his lungs. He was about to pay a visit on a tv-show. He actually wasn’t sure why he was doing it. He had never liked the show. Lot of girls watched it, though. In the show there is a woman around her thirties with some weird fetish and with good looking men and she’s hosting a show where she asks questions of celebrities, making them act different situations with her. Just how stupid was that? After his last inhale, Jin put the cigarette out and walked in, seeing someone taking off their coat, someone he thought he wouldn’t have to deal with ever again.
“Why do I have to be on the same show with him?” Jin whispered to his manager, sitting on a sofa in the backstage, pointing at a man ordering for water. Giving a secret glance at the guy, Jin noticed that he hadn’t changed at all. He was still using tight clothes. He had let his hair grow a little, though.
“Quit being such a baby, Akanishi-san.” the manager whispered back. “You just happen to be on the same show, you don’t have to talk to him.” he assured Jin, who looked a bit worried. The last time they spoke, it wasn’t that kind of lovely conversation at all.
“Tch.” Jin looked away waiting for his turn, remembering the last time he actually met the other guy.
“Come on, it’s not like you have to bare him for more than one hour. You can take it, you’re a man.” he whispered to his client’s ear, trying to make Jin feel a bit better about himself. Lately, he’s been quite down and not even his friend Yamashita got the reason out of him.
Sighing, Jin stood up. It seemed like he had no other choice, huh? Let’s get this party started.
“And our todays guests are two idols, Akanishi Jin and Kamenashi Kazuya!”
Hearing the cheering and clapping, Jin walked from the curtains followed by Kazuya. It had been a long time since the two of them were so close to each other. The whole audience seemed to be super happy to see them side by side.
Kazuya’s hand slid through Jin’s body. Letting his hand travel through Jin’s torso, Kazuya threw his hand around Jin’s neck, pulling him into a kiss. Feeling how Jin was stroking his manhood gently, Kazuya felt like he was in heaven. Panting into Jin’s ear, Kazuya licked it gently. “Harder.” he whispered.
Doing as he was told, Jin started to pump Kazuya faster, stroking his erection firmer this time. “Feels good?” Jin whispered with hoarse voice.
Kazuya nodded few times, biting his lower lip. As he wasn’t able to talk, he just opened his mouth, moaning loudly, letting Jin know exactly how he feels. “A-ah!” Kazuya threw his head back, wrapping his arms around Jin’s neck. He was actually little scared if he was leaving some marks on Jin’s back or the back of his neck.
Jin smiled at Kazuya who dazed at Jin after he reached his climax. They sealed a kiss, closing their eyes.
“Hello, I’m Akanishi Jin.” Jin flashed a charming smile behind his glasses. He was wearing a black hoodie, opened till his bellybutton, having a black tank top underneath it. He had a black leather jacket closed around the same area as his hoodie. His jeans were blue and quite loose. Jin was wearing his favourite boots. They were black and his jeans were crammed into them. His hair was pulled behind and it had was curled a little.
“I’m Kamenashi Kazuya, nice to meet you.” Kazuya smiled. He had to wonder how long his fake smile was going to be bought. Kazuya tried to remember what it felt like to smile from true happiness, smile from the heart. Thank god he was good with acting. He had a grey shirt with a black suit jacket on top of it. He had a scarf around his neck and tight jeans.
The audience went crazy with the hostess. The two of them, literally side by side, having a charming face was like a dream come true. None of them knew how close these two men once were. And if you asked them, none of them will ever know. The hostess sat between them. “Let’s start with the questions from the fans, shall we?” she looked at Kazuya and Jin receiving few nods from them. The hostess took one paper from a box full of letters. “To Kamenashi,” she licked her lips, reading the letter through before reading it out loud. “I’m a big fan of yours, but I’m worried,” the hostess glanced at Kazuya once before turning back on the paper. “You haven’t been active in awhile. Are you alright?”
Kazuya looked at the hostess. Was the girl in the letter serious? “I’m sorry.” he then said. “I’m sure you’ll still see me so don’t worry.” Kazuya had to wonder his reasons to come to this show. He had seen it couple of times. It was pure stupidity.
Jin glared at Kazuya. He could see through those fake smiles right away. Didn’t people notice them? Moving his eyes back on the hostess Jin had to wonder; how hypocritical can a human be?
We love the ones who hurt us and hurt the ones that love us.
“Next question is to Akanishi.” the hostess started to read the letter, but finished it pretty quickly. “I’ll take another one.” the hostess panicked, putting the note aside.
“You can ask me that one.” Jin said, starting to get bothered what was in it. It couldn’t be that bad, could it? And if it was something awkward and bad, Jin could always make up a lie for it or say that he’s not sure.
The hostess looked at Jin, before taking the paper between his hands. “To Akanishi,” she moved her eyes on Jin one more time to make sure he was surely listening. She was not going to repeat this question. “Are you gay?”
Kazuya looked at Jin. He wanted to hear this. Though he knew what Jin was going to answer. If not, the situation between them would be totally different. Kazuya noticed, Jin giving a small glance at him before opening his mouth.
Lips parted, Jin started his answer. “I uhm..”
Kazuya looked at Jin, sleeping on the bed, naked. Chuckling, Kazuya went to him, covering his bare torso with a blanket. Kazuya went to kitchen making something for Jin to eat. He had this habit to make some food for Jin since Jin wasn’t known for his cooking skills. Once Kazuya tried Jin’s cooking and he was vomiting the next two weeks.
They just finished having sex for three hours and it seems like it was enough for Jin to fall asleep right away. To every fan of Jin, he was handsome and cool. Well to Kazuya he was of course those too, but Kazuya saw Jin as quite cute and a man full of surprises. And Kazuya loved that.
After finishing dinner for one, Kazuya cleaned up the kitchen before sitting down. He tore piece of paper from the notebook on the table, taking a pen on his right hand, smiling. Getting up, Kazuya paid a visit at the bedroom to kiss Jin’s head before he left the apartment as quietly as possible.
Jin made a small laugh. What should he answer? A small panic was about to hit him. He wasn’t gay, but he wasn’t really straight either, well- yeah he was. He was totally straight. Totally.
Yawning, Jin sat up. He looked around, messing his hair. A scent of food flied his nose. “Kazu?” Jin looked the clock. “Shit! It’s already 2pm!” he got up and ran to shower. At least he didn’t have much to strip, he didn’t have anything to strip, to be honest. After his shower Jin basically jogged to kitchen, putting some hoodie on. After warming up the food Kazuya made for him, he sat down. “Uwah! Good!” Jin finished eating, noticing a note on the table.
It was nice as always.
Hope to have you inside me again.
See you soon, sugar
Yours, Kazuya
“Tch.” Jin laughed putting the note down. “Sugar?”
“I am not gay, I’m into girls.” Jin spoke his answer. Totally. He wasn’t gay. Kazuya looked like a woman, anyway.
Kazuya looked away. He felt rage inside. He knew Jin was going to answer that, he knew it. He just felt disappointed. How could Jin be like that? Not honest to himself.
“Kazu?” Jin walked into Kazuya’s apartment, stripping off his jacket. He got a text message from Kazuya to meet him at Kazuya’s place. “Kazu, are you here?” he looked around, hearing no voices.
Kazuya was sitting on the sofa, waiting for Jin. “I’m here.”
Jin smiled, walking to him. “Hey, baby.” he kissed Kazuya, starting to strip the younger one.
Kazuya placed his hand on Jin’s, stopping him. “Wait.” he felt nervous. He might have done something terrible. He hoped Jin wasn’t going to get mad at him.
“What’s wrong?” Jin noticed something was bothering Kazuya. As Kazuya didn’t speak, Jin lifted his chin placing a kiss on Kazuya’s lips. “Talk to me, I’m your sugar or whatever, aren’t I?” he smiled.
Answering on Jin’s smile, Kazuya nodded. “Yesterday, I had this interview for a magazine and um..”
“Yeah?” Jin sat properly next to him. What was this about? He was ready to hear Kazuya out, but he was going to pay it with that sexy ass of his.
“I was asked about my ideal girl and I um..” Kazuya wondered if he had ever been so nervous.
“Girl?” Jin didn’t get it. “You like to fuck girls? You fucked some girl?!” Jin stood up. It wasn’t like Kazuya couldn’t do that. They weren’t in a relationship or anything, well not at least on a serious one. They did see quite often, but all they did was fucking, pretty much.
“No! Jin I didn’t!” Kazuya pulled Jin back on the sofa, making a small smile. “You don’t have to be jealous.” he places a gently kiss on Jin’s lips.
“Pfft, I’m not jealous!” Jin looked away. “It’s not like we’re dating or something.” he blushed slightly.
“Let’s.”
“Huh?” Jin moved his eyes back on Kazuya.
“Let’s then.” Kazuya placed his hands on Jin’s chest, squeezing the white shirt. He looked at Jin with dazzling eyes. This was the first time he was really confessing to anyone, so he didn’t really know what to say.
“Let’s what?” Jin wasn’t following. He had no idea what Kazuya was talking about. He knew it himself, he wasn’t really the Japanese Einstein, but he felt like Kazuya had never made him this clueless.
“Date!” Kazuya smiled. He wanted to date Jin, he wanted to hold his hand, he wanted to kiss Jin on the public. Kazuya wanted a normal relationship with Jin. Not only fucking, spending time together, watching movies, going to the beach.
“Huh?” Jin stood up again. Date? Was Kazuya serious? If Jin wasn’t Einstein, Kazuya definitely wasn’t even some unknown small shitty scientist on some dusty corner. What was he thinking?
Kazuya started to look for the paper he had the questions that were asked from him. “Yeah, on the magazine, I told I’m not interested in girls and-”
Jin’s lips parted. “You came out.” he interrupted Kazuya. Was Kazuya drunk during that interview? What’s wrong with him? Who could do something as stupid as this? That’s the same as Jin ran outside naked, yelling he wanted ramen. Totally same.
Kazuya nodded. “Don’t worry. I didn’t say your name if you’re not ready to come out, but-”
Jin started to walk around the house. “You came out.” he kept repeating it, interrupting Kazuya again. What should they do now? Jin started to think some plans. He had just one small problem; nothing was coming into his head.
Kazuya looked at shocked Jin. “Is it that bad?” Kazuya didn’t understand. He didn’t say Jin’s name. Why was Jin panicking? Kazuya was totally fine if Jin wasn’t ready to come out yet. He was ready to wait for Jin, as long as Jin was his, and his only.
“That bad?” Jin looked at Kazuya: “That bad?!” his tone raised. Jin didn’t really even realize he was yelling at Kazuya. “You’re basically walking gay icon now!” Jin couldn’t understand what was wrong with Kazuya. “I can’t have myself connected to at any tabloid with you now.” Jin stood still, sighing. He had only one option.
Kazuya got up “Jin, I want to go out with you, I want to-”
“No Kazu, no.” Jin moved his eyes from the floor to face Kazuya. “Why can’t everything be the way it was?” he looked out from the window. He didn’t want this to happen. How could Kazuya break them down? “I should go.” Jin walked to Kazuya, kissing him on his lips. “Maybe it’s better if we won’t see each others again.”
“Do you mean that?” Kazuya looked at Jin, sniffing slightly. This wasn’t what he wanted. Why was this happening? He wouldn’t let this happen. “A-are you breaking up with me?”
“We never were in a relationship, so I’m not breaking up, I’m just saying good bye.” Jin looked at Kazuya, eyes full of coldness. He walked to his jacket, grabbing it to his hand.
Kazuya watched Jin getting his coat on. He didn’t know what to do or say. He was ready to break into tears any moment now. Should he run to Jin and kiss him? That would make him stay, right? “Jin, don’t do this.”
Jin looked at Kazuya one last time before leaving the house, never watching back.
The show was finished. Kazuya was walking on the hallway stretching a bit, noticing his manager waiting. “Heard that? Get me a new drama as fast as possible.” he was about to walk pass the man, to get his winter jacket. “But nothing lame and boring, okay?” he turned around. “Something nice, maybe a little romantic.”
“Whatever you say.” he made a small bow before following his client.
Kazuya stopped and waited for his manager. He was glad they got along well. “Oh, and the new jeans you picked up for me were too big from my hips, so-”
“Not with that ass.”
Kazuya stopped, lips parted. He turned around, glaring at Jin. “Excuse me?” Why was Jin even talking to him? Kazuya stepped closer to Jin, not too close of course. Just close enough to smell Jin’s cologne. It was still the same. Not that it bothered Kazuya. It smelled good and manly, it just brought a lot of memories to his mind.
With a small smirk, Jin stepped closer. “Not with that ass.” he repeated. He wanted to make Kazuya suffer the way Kazuya made him suffer. If Kazuya wouldn’t have come out, they would probably be in the closet, having sex at the moment. And Jin would not be giving him glares in front of their managers.
“My ass is not big.” Kazuya made it clear, even though Jin had seen it several times. Well, not that big at least. Kazuya didn’t really even want to talk to Jin. He broke Kazuya’s heart after all. Maybe that was his intention from the very beginning, who knows.
“Maybe not, but the ego around it is.” Jin took his jacket, not paying any attention to Kazuya anymore. He changed his mind. Maybe it was better if they just didn’t communicate. They shouldn’t talk with each other, that way nobody would get hurt.
Kazuya gasped. Jin just did not say that. “Are you saying my ego is big, Mr. Closet?” Kazuya knew that was mean, but Jin was making fun of him, when it was Jin who broke his heart, not the other way around.
Jin walked close to him, grabbing his collar. “Don’t you dare to tell anyone- you were a mistake. I didn’t lie, I haven’t fucked any other guy after you so I’m not gay.” Jin threatened him. If the world would get to know that he had sex with Kazuya several times, he would be a clown in front of everybody. When Kazuya came out, it wasn’t really that big of a surprise to anyone, that’s why Kazuya didn't get any rotten tomatoes on his face, but Jin- he’s manly, handsome and very anti-homo in anyway you look at him. There’s no way he was going to tell anyone that he had fucked Kazuya. Plus he wasn’t lying, he was fucking girls. Not guys. He’s not gay.
Kazuya looked at Jin. “Do I look like I fucking care?” Jin hasn’t had sex with any other guy after him? That means he stayed in Jin’s mind? Or that he was just a try out for Jin? “Last time you were inside me, you didn’t seem to care so much being gaypfm-”
Jin placed his hand on Kazuya’s mouth. “Just-” he was about to loose his temper. “Won’t you just shut up?” Even his manager didn’t know about his past with Kazuya. Jin hoped from the bottom of his heart that the managers didn’t hear what they were talking about. Only thing the manager knew was that Kazuya and Jin didn’t get along.
Kazuya’s manager eyed the situation standing next to Jin’s manager. They looked at each others, greeted nodding and looked at their client’s again. Both of them were wearing small smiles, almost like smirks, it was almost like they were up to something.
--
After few weeks, Kazuya got an offer for a drama. The drama was about all boy high school that was famous around Japan from their soccer team. It was full of good looking guys and they had never lost a game. All the players had their own character and part in the drama. Kazuya’s role was Takazawa Junji, one of the two head actors. Junji was short tempered and he was known from his speed. He had a girlfriend who he will have some problems with because Kiwi Genzaburou, the son of the coach and the golden goal keeper of the team whohad his eyes on Junji’s girlfriend.
It was the first time to get through some scenes with some actors and actresses. Kazuya walked to a big building wearing sun glasses to cover his face as he had just woke up. His hair was such a mess in the morning, so he had a hood over his head.
“Kamenashi-san?” Kazuya’s manager walked to him. “Good morning.” he smiled at his client. Receiving a nod as a greeting from Kazuya, he guided the way. “Let’s go.” he knew Kazuya was not a morning person, so he didn’t wait anything warm from him for the next couple of hours.
“Wait.” Kazuya stopped, looking to the bathrooms.. “No freaking way.” he turned on his manager. “Why is he here?” Kazuya pointed at the men’s bathroom door.
The manager watched the door and saw nobody. “Who? If I may ask.” he watched Kazuya glaring the door, knowing very well who he just saw there. As Jin walked away from the bathroom, waiving his hands, clearly still wet from washing his hands, the manager leaned a bit closer to whisper; “Oh, Akanishi-san you mean? It seems he’s the other star of this drama. His role is Kiwi Genzaburou-san.”
Eyes wide, Kazuya turned from Jin to his manager. “He WHAT?!”
