Different Flavors, Different Memories (drabble)
Chocolate
I slowly open my eyes. I can feel the heat of the sun on my face. The first thing I saw was a beautiful ring on my ring finger. I smiled to myself. I felt… Happy. This ring already made me happy. I felt arms wrap around my waist. I turned around and saw my boyfriend..no. my fiancé.
“Morning.” He said
“Morning.” I replied
“Today’s the day”
I smiled. He’s right. Today’s the day. The last day that my surname’s Kim. Tonight, my last name’s goanna change. Cho Ryeowook. That will be my name for the rest of my life.
He kissed the bridge of my nose.
“Heechul hyung is getting crazy because of the wedding. He keeps on calling people. Talking about things like deliveries, food and other stuff ” he said. I groaned. I turned around and buried my face on the pillow.
“Wook….” He rubbed my back.
“I told him to just make it simple!” I said under the pillow. I looked at him with a pout. He chuckled and kissed my cheek.
“You talk to him. I can’t do it. He won’t listen to me anyway. He’ll just say: “Go away maknae! I’m busy” Kyu mimicked Heechul hyung’s voice. I smiled.
“Fine.” I stood up and pulled Kyu out of bed. I opened the door and saw everyone doing something.
Heechul hyung was talking to someone on his Bluetooth phone. The one you just put in your ear.
“Ok.ok….yes…yes. pink flowers. Make sure they are in a bouquet…ok? .....ok. bye” he hanged up.
“HYUNG!!!!!” I screamed. Everyone was shocked seeing me scream like that. Even Heechul hyung looked at me.
“Oh! Ryeowook! You’re awake.”
“HELL YEAH I’M AWAKE! Hyung, I told you to make it simple! Not make it as a party for every idol to attend to!”
“I’m sorry Wookie. But I really want to make this wedding amazing”
“NO!”
“Well, you can’t stop me. ‘Cause I’m the wedding planer”
“First, I didn’t even tell you to be my wedding planer. Second, Yes I can stop you. I’m the one getting married here. I also make the decisions. So now, I say: Cancel ALL the arrangements you made. And I mean ALL!”
“What?”
“All of it”
“Fine. But you’ll regret it”
“Regret what?”
“Years from now, you’ll remember this day. You’ll regret that you made me cancel those arrangements. You’ll regret that you wore casual outfits in your wedding instead of the arrangement that I made with the best designer in Seoul. He was going to make you a tux. You’ll also regret that you only have us at your wedding. I’ve contacted other SM idols like SNSD, SHINee, DBSK and Fx. You’ll also regret that you didn’t come with me at the mall to get your face cleaned and moisturized. You’ll see your pictures today and you’ll see your face full of pimples!”
“Yah~ Wookie’s still perfect with pimples. He’s always perfect. He doesn’t need the arrangement you made in the spa” Kyu said while wrapping his arms at my waist.
“See? That’s called being simple hyung. Cancel it all now.” I said
“But…”
“Now.” I said with a straight face. I could see in the corner of my eye Kyu sticking out his tongue to Heechul-hyung.
“I told You so” Kyu said.
“Whatever” Hyung said while rolling his eyes.

I decided to rest for a while before eating breakfast. I rest my head on the pillow. I felt an extra weight come on the bed. Kyu lay down next to me. I rest my head on his chest. He played with my hair.
“Are you happy?” He asked
“About what?”
“About the wedding”
“Of course”
“You don’t sound happy”
“Kyu, When I say I’m happy…” I looked at him.
“I mean it.” I said with a smile. He replied with a smile. I went back to my previous position. He kissed the top of my head.
“I love you….so much” He said.
“I love you too”

I went back home after a long day of recording with manager hyung. It was kind of lonely since I was alone. The others had their own schedule. When I reached at the dorm, A post-it was posted on the door.
I did what was written. When I opened our bedroom door, I saw a white and grey striped sweater, black shoes and black skinny jeans.
I used it instead. After wearing it, I then saw a stack of post-its under the outfit I wore.
I did as written. I then saw the house keys on the keyboard. I should probably use them too. I then saw the next note on the computer.
I went outside bringing only my phone and the house key. I locked the door. You wouldn’t know when a burgler might come in. I went to the building’s parking lot. I then saw a long limousine. The driver was beside it. I went towards the car.
“Mr. Kim Ryeowook?” the driver said.
“Yes?” I said.
He then opened the door for me.
“Ummm…ok” I slid inside.
“Oh, by the way” the driver said before closing the door. He reached at his shirt’s pocket.
“Mr. Cho wanted me to give you this” he said.
“Thank you” I said when I received it. He then closed the door. It was a small candy. There was a tag.
How sweet of Kyu. He knows that when I get nervous, I tend to get hungry. I gladly pop the candy inside my mouth.
The limousine stopped at a church.
Seoul Catholic Cathedral
What are we doing here? The doors were closed but I could see lights from inside.
I then saw Leeteuk hyung standing near the doors. I quickly ran to him.
“Hyung!” I ran towards him.
“Anyeong!! Are you ready?”
“For what?”
“For your wedding, Silly!”
“What?! I’m getting married now?!”
“Yup. Kyu wanted to lead you here romantically. You better be ready Wook”
“I’ve never been most ready in my life”
KYUHYUN’S POV
I was staring at the altar. I was so excited yet nervous.
“Yah~ where’s Ryeowook? Kyu, maybe you led him somewhere else” Eunhyuk said.
“No! Kyu wouldn’t do that! Right Kyu?” Sungmin defended.
I looked at them and smiled. I nodded. Then Henry came running from peeking from the door.
“HE’S HERE! HE’S HERE! RYEOWOOK’S HERE! RYEOWOOK IS HERE!!” He screamed.
My eyes widened. I heard gasps. I quickly fixed my attire. I never knew that A plain white classic shirt with a collar and skinny black pants would be good on me.
Ever since I was a kid, I always planned my wedding to be very extravagant and that I would be wearing a tux and that I would marry the most beautiful girl I’ve seen. But it all changed when Ryeowook came. It all changed. It became greater. I never regret that I loved Ryeowook.
Even if my wedding will be this simple, I’m still very happy.
RYEOWOOK’S POV
“are you ready?” Leetuk hyung asked.
I linked my right arm with his left. I then heard someone from behind running.
“Wait!” a voice said. I looked back.
“Kangin-hyung! You’re here!” I said
“Of course! I never wanted to miss this day! Our eternal maknae and our evil Maknae getting married!” he said.
“Thanks hyung!” I said giving him a peck on the cheek.
“Don’t I get that?” Leeteuk hyung said.
“Of course you do” I said as I gave a peck on his cheek.
“Ok. Ready?”
I linked my left arm with Kangin hyung’s right arm.
“Ready”
Then the doors opened.
I saw everyone there. Everyone in Super Junior plus Zhoumi and Henry. Everyone was in white.
And I saw Kyu waiting for me at the altar. Everyone was seated except Heechul hyung and Sungmin hyung who were taking pictures.
At the end, I released both of my arms and gave both my “parents” a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
“I love you Wookie. Be happy ok?” Leeteuk hung whispered in my ear as I hugged him
“Congrats Wook. Have sex with him kay?” Kangin hyung said as I hugged him. I just chuckled.
I then took Kyu’s hand.
“Here we are” Kyu said.
“I know right? I can’t believe it”
He lifted my hand.
“Kim Ryeowook, Will you take me, Cho Kyuhyun to be your husband? In sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, for better or for worse, to love and to cherish ‘til death do us part?” He said.
“I do.” I said.
He inserted his ring on my finger.
“And do you, Cho Kyuhyun, take me, Kim Ryeowook to be your husband? In sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, for better or for worse, to love and to cherish ‘til death do us part?”
“I do”
I inserted my ring
“You may now kiss the husband?” I said playfully.
“Gladly.” He said before his lips pressed to mine.
Everyone cheered. I looked at them with a smile. Sungmin ran and pictured me and Kyu as newly weds.
--at the dorm--
“Congratz Wookie and Kyu!!!” Kangin hyung said as he popped the champagne bottle. I bet the cork went somewhere.
They all poured champagne in their glasses except me. I never want to get drunk and forget this even thou I know that I’ll always remember this.
Kyu sat next to me. He clinked his glass with the others. He then noticed me. I just forced a smile.
“Why aren’t you happy wook?” He asked.
“No Kyu. I’m happy. It’s just I’m fascinated on how you made me go there in the church. Very Romantic” I said
“Thanks. It was easy. And simple”
“How did you get the limo?”
“Siwon knows some people”
“Oh….”
I forgot Siwon hyung was quite wealthy before entering Super Junior.
He held my hand beneath the table and he kissed the tip of my nose.
“I love you” He said.
“I love you too.”
Leeteuk hyung then came in the table holding a chocolate cake.
“Congratz Kyu and Wook!!” He screamed.
Me and Kyu took the knife and cut the cake together. We put it in a plate. He gave me a bite and so did I.
Sungmin hyung and Heechul hyung kept on picturing us.
I took a small part of icing on the cake and put it on the tip of Kyu’s nose.
We just laughed.
-----Hours later…----
Everyone was already asleep after being so drunk. They all went to bed.
I picked up the bottles and glasses scattered around.
I kept on washing the dishes. Great. The person who got married washed the plates after the party. But at least I had a memorable day.
I suddenly felt something wrap my waist. Kyu.
He suddenly turned me around. I was quite surprised.
I could see a huge smug on his face. I wrapped my arms around his neck. And I kissed the tip of his nose.
“Wook, can we go to bed?” He asked.
“What about the dishes?”
“Heechul hyung will do those in the morning. Can we just please go to sleep?”
“But-” He stopped me from talking by surprise kissing me.
The kiss was slow but passionate. He separated.
“Mr. Cho Ryeowook, Can we Please go to bed?”
“Fine. Because you called me by my new last name.”
“I’ll call you that until you and I die.”
“Good.” He then swept me off my feet and carried me bridal style.
I have a good feeling about tonight.
