Once again, it's been many days.

My PhD application is submitted, although not fully. I still need to get my recommendations (which I have lined up, I just need to email) and get in my research proposal (waiting for feedback on it), and mail in one of my old papers. It's all good though.

So... I'm not doing these daily. I don't think it negates them at all.

I did a bit of flirting last night, am only a few days away from my trip to see Much Ado About Nothing, and am generally making progress on my dissertation. I say that it rates as a good life.

Life is just brilliant. I'm so optimistic.

I found a laptop to replace the ones that were stolen. It was actually only due to the kindness of the fantastic fortisgreen who was nice enough to offer to send a laptop, and then offered ebay help when there was an incident with that one ( Read more... )

Day 6
Heading to a Big Finish event today. It means this weekend is a big Doctor Who people meeting squee weekend.

I'll write about all of my meetings when I'm on the bus or back at home. I'll write about all of the anticipation and squee about seeing David Tennant.

Damn fangirl rehab failed so hardcore. Do I have to refund myself for that?

Day 5
I decided to check out the stage door after Much Ado About Nothing despite not having my tickets until later this month.

It's late and I'm tired so I'll sum it up as thus. I saw/met David Tennant and Catherine Tate. No good pictures. I did use full words although not especially witty ones. I get to try again next time. Overall, I'm happy with ( Read more... )

I'm on a bus and heading to London.

Oh, and I found out about a Doctor Who event in London this weekend. There will be nerd squee!

Cindy won tickets to the concert she was already heading to and I'm going to now go with her. I even managed to save 35% on my bud ticket (Greyhound buses here look less scary than in the States. Wifi, power cords? I'm impressed) and so getting there and back ( Read more... )

Day 2
I picked up a lot of good resources for my dissertation. I haven't read much yet and still need to start working faster, but I've made progress.

I remember doing this Happiness Meme a few years back and really liking it. It forced me to stop every day and think of something to be happy about, which can so often sort of melt away if I'm under stress.
