The Happy: My brother bought me The Monster Squad on DVD for my birthday, as well as the Harry Potter:OotP DVD.
Cheesy 80s kids horror = Love

The Sad: It's the 20th Anniversary edition of The Monster Squad.
Things that loved as a kid should not be having 20th anniversaries.

True statement!

Like when the animated Transformers was released on DVD, it was a 20th Anniversary edition and totally remember seeing that in the theater with my dad and brother.

It was the first movie I'd seen in a theater with more than one screen because were in Pittsburgh visiting my grandparents at the time (our local theater was TINY and got movies months after release date) and I ate myself sick on Reese's Pieces.

Yeah it's pretty crazy how many things are having their 15th or 20th anniversary. Meep.

But I love all the old school stuff being re-released! I even found old school Strawberry Shortcake on DVD.
