No, there is no definitive timeline. In fact in the second season, the time rate of passage between Earth and Shin Makoku gets even more muddled due to the boxes. There was an episode where Yuuri and the gang couldn't get back to Shin Makoku and they were worried that a lot of time was passing there while they were dithering on Earth. But as it turned out, when they got back, not as much time as they expected passed. Also, the end of demon/human war was twenty Shin Makoku years before series start and Yuuri was born fifteen Earth years before series start -- from this you can tell there is not a regular 1 to 5 year ratio. I believe the passage of time is controlled by whoever is controlling the dimensional portals, e.g. Shinou for S1 and S2, Yuuri for S3 (though Yuuri is still struggling with his control -- I think I recall an early episode in S3 where he asked how much time had passed in Shin Makoku, when told that it was one month, he or perhaps Conrad or Murata had mentioned Yuuri was getting better at controlling his passage ( ... )

I concluded from the novel that half mazokus' aging rate simply fluctuates, from what Yozak said to Yuuri when they were in Dai Shimaron, something along the lines of, Yozak aged a bit slower than normal human child, but at 12 he all of a sudden grew a lot and that's how he was found out to be a half mazoku.

thanks alot, this is a big help! after about the first 4 times Yuuri crosses over you can't really tell how long he was there, and it's only the first 2 that you know how much Earth time was between; so thanks for telling me there's no specific rate. (man i wish i could get the novels in English!)

you know i think they stop aging altogether when they hit 120-something. really, how far apart age-wise do Gwendal and Celi look?

i wouldn't let Anissina in a kitchen either! but it seemed stranger to me that she knows how to knit then Gwendal, what with her women's liberation movement. then again it could have been something she was forced to learn when she was little.

again, thanks so much for answering!

there are a few posts a while ago that focuses on the aging of half mazokus, you might find it useful to look in the archives of the community for them

from memory Conrart says it's "roughly 5 times" rather than 5 times being an iron rule.
Have you thought about the approximate age of Wolf when Dan-Hiri died to figure out the age gap between Wolf and Conrart? Actually never mind, I think that's in season 2.

With regards to passage of time between season 2 and 3, Yuuri is still in senior high school. Season 2 showed the passing of summer and while they're earth in S3 yuuri was shown in short sleeves, and thus I'd say that there's less than 1 year passed in between S2 and S3.

I hope some of that was useful.

i found the half mazoku posts, and they did help alot, but my OCs are all full mazoku so i was trying to figure out how their ages would play out.

thanks, for some reason i kept finding the fandom giving S2 and S3 a two year gap from one side or the other. two years on Shin Makoku would kinda make sense, if the time flow between the two worlds was stable. which seamusog explained it isn't.

it's all useful, thanks again!

As you get more into the KKM series/fandom, you'll find that there are a lot of holes, missing information, and/or muddled nonsense. You really have to make up a lot of it as you go.

I had a discussion awhile back on the 16-year-old ceremony and tried to figure out how they picked that sort of number when a Mazoku (and half-Mazoku) are barely equal to maybe "12" at the time. It's really frustrating to figure it out.

The flow of time gets all messed up and only a few tend to know what time of the year it all actually is, especially since we have to consider Japan school years and not American (like my own)... I messed up my first fanfics timeline a bit that way. >.
