The first time that Yuuri wanted to take Greta to Earth for a nice Christmas dinner with his parents, Conrad suggested that she might still be too young for inter-dimensional travel. Wolfram had then strictly forbidden him to put their daughter in danger “for those silly earth habits of yours”.
The second time, Yuuri was busy sorting out all the details and precautions with Murata and Ulrike when Greta, to the relief of everyone but Yuuri, came down with the pandapox and had to spend the week in bed. Gisela explained to him that the pandapox was one of those human diseases, a childhood ailment, that really should be caught before a certain age. Symptoms were rather harmless: a low grade fever and black ears but it could cause deafness in adults.
The third time, Wolfram had an urgent matter to settle at his estate and insisted that Greta, as his heiress, come as well.
The fourth time, Yuuri - having worked out the ins and outs of voluntary inter-dimensional travel - threatened to bring his parents to Shin Makoku and just have their Christmas dinner at the castle. Conrad smiled serenely and replied that it was a great idea since Cheri was going to be there around the same time.
The fifth time, Yuuri had found an acceptable solution: he’d have Christmas once with his Shin Makoku family and one with his parent. Brimming with excitement, Yuuri went to get Conrad to help him pick the perfect (huge) Christmas tree to fit in the (huge) ballroom.
Conrad just sighed in resignation - “it’s a bad idea, your majesty” - and handed Yuuri what looked like a children’s book:
