Well... I don't "shade" XD... I "layer shade"... That is, every colour has at least 3 layers, one for base, another for highlights and a third one for shadows... It's kind of easy, but it takes a long time... oh, btw, I at least work with OpenCanvas, because it is easier to use, but I have heard that Corel Painter is better ·_·...

I also used OC but I think your artwork is awesome because you got a nice skill in shading! The same goes to me when I do the shading, I'll make 3-4 layers just like what you've been mentioned. Still, I'm not good though T T..
