...I think I might have to build several shrines in your honor for writing this. Not only is it Conrart/Gunter, but Gunter was so wonderfully portrayed, a strong soldier who sacrificed himself to try and save his students. It's so different from the way Gunter is usually characterized, and it's just so very, very much love! &hearts

I especially love how the sex was not a loving, tender tryst, but rather something that they both needed for their own reasons, and then eventually they are able to say what they thought was goodbye forever. It's fitting for the mood and the scenario, and incredibly well done.

In short: amazing! I'm so thrilled someone wrote this pairing, and so well. Thank you. ^_^

i have never associated violence with gunter.. so somehow violence in this shocks me. conrart, i can see the simmering violence, but not gunter.

not even to remove the yuckiness that is stoffel.
i am amazed that stoffel could, but i guess gunter is one gorgeous man.
but that's the only off-putting note i found,
i understand why the sex, but not the violence of it on gunter's part.

still, i like this fic as it portrays gunter's ...willingness to do things
too bad gwen was out of the country when geigenhuber spewed the filth
and the maou could not gainsay stoffel.

I will admit that I've a tendency towards darker interpretations of characters than is the general norm, but to be honest with you, I don't think Gunter is all sweetness and light anyway.

I've done violent sports like archery and martial arts and you have to tap into a thread of nastiness to succeed at these things. Gunter is a diplomat and a master swordsman; he may be a flake most of the time but he's perfectly capable of putting aside the flakiness and getting on with the job. Hence, I've exagerated the edge that is generally hidden. But it's a fair comment reguardless; I'll keep it in mind when I get around to writing other fics, to pay more attention to characterisation when it comes to Gunter.
