KKM: Many characters

May 02, 2009 17:13

Challenge:
1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn your music player on and turn it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabblet/ficlet related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it's over. No lingering afterward! No matter how whacked out your drabble is. :)
4. Do ten of these, then post them.

Rating: PG for the most part, nothing more than PG-13
Disclaimer: I don't own KKM or their characters.

1. Moment of Surrender - U2

Stuffel never could admit to himself that he wasn't going to have any say in things. He resented his sister for wanting to step down and hoped that Shinou would look favorably towards his desire to stop those that opposed the great mazoku race. What made him most displeased was to find that the new Maou was surrounded by those that weren't driving home the fact that humans were to be crushed and the mazoku were to be prosperous. In fact, the boy's own quest for peace and justice was almost as insulting as being told he would be exiled from the capital. All of his attempts in winning Yuuri over were thwarted and although his sister had chosen not to marry Raven and he was to remain at his side, he couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of defeat. Many days he stared out the window and tried to think of alternate plots, but never having any come to fruitition. The world seemed to be going on without him. He never let Cacilie or Raven ever see the deep sadness in his heart from being unnecessary and unwanted.

2. Break Me Shake Me - Savage Garden

Gwendal had just about enough. Even having Gunter be her victim more often, she still hadn't left him alone. And this experiment was about the last straw. He had faced humilation on way too many levels, but to constantly pull him from the things that were clearly more important kept pushing him closer and closer to snapping. The sheer idea of being placed in front of the castle gates wearing a costume that could only be described as borderline obscene was unnecessary and really, when it came down to it, had nothing to do with her actual invention in any way - unless it was measuring the amount of anger someone could gather in a short time.

3. Even Better than the Real Thing - U2

Gunter never imagined that it would actually happen. But finding that the intoxication from the party caused him to actually seduce and bed the maou. He hadn't known what came over him but without any interference from wolfram (whom was away tending to things in his country) and Conrart being too busy with Josak, he somehow came up with the right words and together they did things that Gunter's imagination could barely have mustered without causing a flood of blood to hit the floor. What was even better was that even looking at Yuuri's calm, sleeping face, he no longer felt the massive urge to spew blood everywhere, yet, instead, to cause him to cry out and moanlike he did the night before.

4. Gone - U2

The morning was foggy and grey. Conrart knew what he needed to do to prove himself and he had the support of many others behind him. Yet he knew they were facing their graves. He had left the castle, never imagining he would return. He silently said his farewells to everyone as he gazed upon the castle and mounted his horse to meet the rest of the soldiers. The battle was as everyone expected. Both sides were full of terrible casualties and everyone's heart grew a few grades harder than the day before while they fought. The rare survivors hadn't much desire to continue. Most were injured far beyond healing and made their pleas for forgiveness as they ended their own lives or lives of comrades that lie dying beside them. Conrart was simliar, yet there was one voice that urged him to continue. Though it was josak speaking the voice he actually heard was another's.

5. Liar - Tonic

Murata was used to Shinou's pranks and stories. Not only from the memories from when he was the daikenja, but from recent events that Shinou had been involved with inside the shrine. So many minor misfortunes have been occuring, and Murata was getting a little frustrated. Not nearly as much as Ulrike, who came to him highly concerned. Chatting with Shinou proved useless, as he adamantly denied any part of it, although the smirk on his face the entire time wasn't the biggest give away. Fixing the things that have broken, Murata simply ended converation with Shinou, and ultimately, he learned his lesson.

6. Tubthumping - Chumbawamba

Gwendal's favorite thing to do at night was drink. With all the stresses of dealing with the military and the things that Yuuri never bothered to learn to do and was left to his hands, the alcohol was always welcome. If knitting calmed his heart, then the sake calmed his mind. Most nights he'd find himself swimming in a swirl of fragrant and potent drinks and he'd managed to become so accostumed to the feeling the next morning that when he woke without a hangover, it felt strange and unwelcome. But unless the king with his flights of fancy would come back and keep himself in one place, it didn't look like things were going to change for Gwendal. He just once wished there was someone he could drink with that wasn't trying to take off his clothes and dance...

7. Hollow - A Perfect Circle

Certain types of liquor affected Gunter differently. Either he was stripping his garments and dancing on tables or he was deviosuly seducing someone. These reasons are why he very very rarely drank. But Yuuri... he kept telling everyone to drink. Despite warnings from almost everyone, he pushed glass after glass into the educator's hand. Yuuri was soon finding his personal space greatly invaded by the sensual advances and soft touches of those long fingers that was often pointing to things in books but instead was tracing his face. It was hard to resist such advances and even with others intervening, Gunter was like an animal after it's prey and managed to keep passing through barrier they had been trying to establish around Yuuri.

8. Call Me Call Me - Steve Conte

Conrart had safely sent Julia's soul to earth. Even confirmed that it was in the proper body. But so many years were passing and he longed for the soul that he'd left behind. He didn't know if it was left in the proper hands and although the Maou of earth was certain the Shibuya family was upstanding, he still felt uneasy leaving such a pure white soul in that world. Surely it would be tarnished in this one, but that world also had it's problems. He could only long for what wasn't around - or even his to long for. The years in Shin Makoku were flying by while time on earth drug on. It was almost unbareable. Each passing day Conrart's demeanor had grown more and more sour and no matter what anyone had done, he never seemed to smile like he had with Julia around. The only time anyone had seen him smile was if they caught a glimpse of him in his office, alone while at his book case. No one ever asked about the small yellow duck, but clearly it was almost as important to him as the blue necklace that hung around his neck. The day that Yuuri would come to Shin Makoku would be the day his own soul woud be at ease.

9. Strange Magic - ELO

Gunter wrote in his diary every night without fail. Usually it was boring - the typical goings on of Shin Makoku and the problems it was facing. That all changed the day that they were told the one that would be the 27th maou would return to their world. The anticipation was high and he was highly prepared. his diary reflected this as well. What he never could have been prepared for was the young double black that enchanted him. He hid his entrhallment well behind the mask of introductions, but that first night as he watched the new Maou sleep in that borderline village he realized how attracted he was to him. The small conversations they had earlier charmed him with their innocent nature and naivite. From that day forth, his Diary was full of less boring war stories and overflowing with the fantasies that went on in the ashen grey haired hed. Clearly he had some issues, but everything about Yuuri just facinated him more and more and all he wanted to do was learn everything about the boy and infect him with his own drive for knowledge... amongst other things.

10. The Trumpet Pt. II - Lou Bega

The limo pulled up outside of Jose's house. As usual, he looked around and got inside. He was actually surprised to find not just Sharon, but Bob in there as well. It wasn't like him to actually meet with them away from some form of office, but apparently things were important enough for it to occur. Jose was quite perplexed, but kept his same grin and simply inquired about the surprise. The small jar he was handed instantly brought his cheerful smile to a frown. He knew what it was without having to ask, but just for the sake of any miscommunication, he asked anyway. It was as he feared but at least Bob wasn't casual with the words he chose. Jose could hardly believe it, but he was holding Christine's soul. It was beautiful and white. It had a soft glow and it felt like she was surrounding him with her presence. He was charged with taking her to her next body. It was a heavy burden, but not only was it an order from the Maou, but it was only right to place her where she needed to be. It would take a while, but he would ultimately come to terms with the mission he was to accomplish. At least he'd have some time with her before he'd have to send her along. His mission before that would be to meet a man of simliar charge. Having a comrade in that light would only make it easier.
