FIRE EMBLEM 13 IS GETTING A US RELEASE!

Jun 08, 2012 11:45

Yes, all my FE friends have heard about this already, but I am going to talk about it anyway.

Thanks for not mentioning Fire Emblem AT ALL during your "never-before-seen" 3DS software panel (that was 90% games everyone had already seen) Nintendo. Way to ruin my day. Then one of the Nintendo reps let it slip that FE was getting a North American ( Read more... )

video games, question, failure at pokemon, ponies!, movie, music, fire emblem

My guess is that they only wanted to cover games due out in 2012, and FE13 isn't here? Supposedly it is in Europe, but yeah. It was disappointing. I just want a taste of the localization -- a name spelling, a voice, anything, really. :c

But only covering games due out in the next 6 months is kind of dumb for an ANNUAL event. They should at least cover any major titles coming out before the next E3.

I just want to play it soon. Thankfully I do still have lots of unfinished support conversations from FE 6/7/8 to keep me occupied while I wait, not to mention a number of other games I need to complete.

Yeah, it's a dumb choice. HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE NEXT UHHH. . .SIX MONTHS. :\ I guess all the ~shiny new stuff~ happens at the Tokyo game show? Meh.

Maybe things were different before the internet leaked absolutely everything, but E3 seems more and more irrelevant by the year.

Yeah, I remember being much more excited about E3 before social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook were so huge. (I think FB was technically around at the time, but only individuals used it. Companies didn't bother with it.)

That gif sums things up pretty perfectly.

I have never played Fire Emblem, but it is one I will have to get for the 3DS. Speaking of the 3DS, is that special edition Fire Emblem 3DS for real?! It is gorgeous...O_o

Yep, that system was bundled with the game in Japan. It may or may not come stateside, but if it does, I'm buying it even though I already have a 3DS.

I'd love to buy it too, though like you I already have a 3DS. Mine is the Legend of Zelda edition. It was my Christmas present to myself...XD

Usually on the 3D Pokedex, you should get 3 pokemon a day via wifi, but you have to exit and close the app after receiving each one to get the next :D

So if I can connect to Wifi in my home, I should be able to get them? Some days I'll manage to get one Pokemon, but most of the time, I get nothing. Is there a certain number of steps I have to take first?

I really don't understand why they make you unlock all the Pokemon. They should have just given you a complete Pokedex to begin with.

You should be able to, but I have days without them too. Steps don't affect it as far as I know, but sometimes you'll only recieve one Pokemon, as the Pokemon are sent out at random, so sometimes you'll be sent one you have, instead of getting another one, you don't get one, which is super lame.

Yeah I agree, esp as you can't even download all 3 monkeys or both Unfezant genders, you have to have people send you them, and only one of my friends who lives close to me has a 3DS, and we have the same monkeys :U

lol i saw a few sites reporting on FE being released in the US and I kept waiting for your inevitable post about it to show up. :b

also that FE 3DS is quite pretty. It seems like region specific hardware rarely ever makes the jump state side though. D: Unfortunately.

Haha, yeah, I'm kind of late. I heard about it shortly after it was announced, but I haven't had time to make a post until now.

I'm not holding my breath for that special edition 3DS, but I figure there might be a small chance since we've been getting Zelda and Pokemon systems on a fairly consistent basis lately.

Well hopefully, but it still seems unlikely. :I Zelda and Pokemon are largely popular in this region so...maybe. I'm not sure how popular Fire Emblem is in general?

It's kind of a niche market, but I've seen them release niche systems before. Plus the system is just plain pretty with that blue color.
